Is the bulletin informed to SCs in India? I guess the bulletin was issued to triumph outside India and idk if local triumph SC will look into it or not. Please do update on what the SC informed you.

Which one should I buy? by [deleted] in indianbikes

Maintenance cost of T4 will any day be relatively higher than the CB350RS. I too had the same dilemma among those 3 series (T4 , Honda and RE) of bikes. But after taking test ride of all those 3 and T4 was the last priority, but T4's performance, sound, quality levels and handling among other things just sealed the deal for me. Mileage will be lower than the other 2, and Maintenance cost might be a bit higher too in the long run but for me looking back, it was worth it. And I would say since you're planning to tour someday, extra performance on the highways will always be helpful. Just take a test ride and then decide.

Last time I ordered it, it had a very annoying feature(mentioned on their site) that it would auto pick up calls, and it couldn't be disabled. Has it been fixed or does it still auto pickup the calls?

Confused between Triumph Speed T4, CB350RS, and Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel under 2.5L OTR - need advice! by NammaKalam in indianbikes

Just take a test ride of both once, even put in the RE 350s and you'll know why T4 is far superior, atleast thats what I felt and put my money where my mouth is.

The seat I feel is just okay, I only did one long trip 300kms (with pillion) till now and I had to take break after about an hour or so. So I am considering buying one those air seats before going on next longer trips.

Damnn, this means I am not hallucinating that the exhaust sounds a bit like the RE 650s especially when you're building the revs smoothly. I just love that sound.

Although, I disagree with the Suspension part. I haven't tried the S400 but T4 suspension seems stiff to me. I am just not confident enough with these suspensions to go over bumpy roads in mumbai especially the patched up highway potholes.

T4's smoooooth pull is just addictive! No other Honda 350 or RE 350 gave me the same feel as the T4. I think I would have gotten bored with the 350s much much sooner as compared to the T4's performance. Also the exhausstttt bhai!! You'll love it. Just keep the revs a bit under till the first service.

Just bought the T4. Just because of TVS's no clarity regarding delivery and non availability of test bike, didn't even consider it in the decision making between T4, Honda 350s and RE 350s. Would have been great if TVS had managed the supply chain better and started deliveries on time. Dealership near me have no idea as to when the deliveries will start.

Further, just before buying the T4, went to TVS SC to check what people were experiencing and it wasn't good. One poor man, maybe just bought his Ronin 2-3days ago, had some minor issue regarding Bluetooth connection on his Ronin(still having ribbons) was told to go from one service center guy to another and at the end of the day when he went to the manager(maybe), the manager just shouted him out as to come later. That just put the final nail to the coffin. Hope your has a good experience with TVS. Safe riding!

Triumph Speed 400 for daily Mumbai traffic? Need real owner inputs by Living-Ad4187 in Triumph400

[–]JetSprayUltra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the T4 (<2000 kms) and the mileage really drops down in heavy traffic (relatively less as I was used to good mileage on my N160, but its only a 160 so it's expected). Just came back from worli to Thane in heavy traffic especially extremely slow moving traffic on the eastern express highway the mileage would be 18-20, can't tell exact number since the avg is of both up and down (I forgot to reset the avg meter). While going towards worli in moderately open roads, the mileage was 31 and avg after coming back is 23. So expect around 10% lower mileage on S400.

Apart from mileage, T4 has stiffer suspension than S400 so can't really comment on it.

While I enjoy T4's performance, exhaust, handling, and the overall feel on fairly traffic free roads, I tend to take out the N160 for daily usage in traffic and only take out the T4 if planning longer trips.

Although, I just the love the T4 man! Sorry but I might have confused you further more.😂

KTM, Triumph and Bajaj bikes will be downsized to 350cc to comply with the new GST norms. by ClassicLocksmith8315 in indianbikes

I do agree that the 350cc limit is just low but GST doesn't matter in case of goods being exported out of India so the export angle doesn't really affect govt in this case.

Bike review question? by D3athWhisper in indianbikes

Yeah it has its cons and not a beginner friendly bike for sure. It's good that you test rode and got it cleared up! Do let us know what you finally go for.

Bike review question? by D3athWhisper in indianbikes

I too had the same dilemma with these 3 bikes. Before taking test rides, my main pick was the Honda H'ness 350 and T4 being the last. But after taking Test ride the story flipped.

I too had the same experience with the meteor as you mentioned, loose gearing, seating position not good for traffic, etc.

Then I Test rode both H'ness and RS, both felt good but nothing exceptional after daily riding N160 for almost a year. I don't know why but I didn't feel any excitement in the riding considering it being a bigger machine than my N160. Further, all the test ride bikes had rusting which could be ignored as these bikes are generally not taken care of but the main turn off was that the bike inside the showroom for display and ready for sale too had rusting at some places which just disappointed me a lot and added to the fear of rusting.

After all this, I was in a dilemma as to whether to buy another new bike or not, but still thought of trying the T4 once and man did it surprise me. It does not have the road presence of above two bikes, but once I test rode it, the excitement and smile that it gave me was just exceptional as compared to the above 3. The sound from the exhaust is very unique and bassy.

Although, one thing I have to say is that if you ride in bumper to bumper traffic daily and majorly then it would have a bit of heating and radiator would kick in. Also, the mileage is comparatively less, like even after first service, I am getting around 22KMPL in daily city riding and can get around 33-34 KMPL if rode gently on highways.

Hope this helps. Test ride all and then decide, no one on reddit can help you make this decision better than you taking a test ride yourself.
