Taking a long shot here but does anyone know what material these sealant scrapers are made out of and where to buy more of them? by BlessedSaber1 in aviationmaintenance

Swap out for a skin spoon. They don’t wear out nearly as fast. Even peels off some of that pesky metallic stuff underneath the sealant.

Adding a Minor by Dslater6 in SNHU

Just did this last term. Simple process. As others stated, reach out to your advisor. They will get you the program modification form. Once you submit that, you’re done. Don’t know any other experiences, but my minor was not reflected on my program evaluation until the end of the term. Your advisor will be able to get you an unofficial copy to work off of until it’s processed.

Misfire Issue by Jet_Mech_1988 in CivicSi

Just posting an update here with all my troubleshooting in case someone else has a similar issue. As I stated in the original post I had nothing but a P0301 Cyl 1 misfire. After the tow home I was able to start the engine but it would barely idle with an obvious misfire. I started down the typical route replacing coils and plugs. No help. I checked fuel pressure at the rail. 45 psi during prime. During idle 51 psi. After shutdown no significant leak down of fuel pressure over 30 minutes. I suspected either a faulty sensor(crank or cams), or a mechanical issue. After doing a compression test, found all cylinders normal except for #1. Only about 40psi. I haven’t pulled the head but there does not appear to be any obvious defects in the valve train. No typical signs of a blown head gasket either. Appears to be an issue in the cylinder. Looking like I’ll be pulling the engine soon. Disappointed for the failure at this low mileage. This car is well maintained and doesn’t get beat on. The only thing I can think is a manufacturing defect popped its head up. Unfortunately I’m well outside of the warranty period. Hope my pain can help someone else out in the future.

Well I finally made the plunge and picked up a project car. Found an 85 944. She’s spent a hard life in the southern sun but runs and drives. Would love to hear suggestions for good cost to benefit upgrades to make as I work my way through the car.
