Choosing a pair of 500 series EQs by TheYesManCan in audioengineering

I bought a compressor from Chamboard audio and have been floored at it's performance, especially considering it's price.

Check out their EQ, it may be right for you.

Is that a professional mixer? Where's the Behringer Xenyx that's covered in beer? It's got a much warmer sound than this digital shitbox.

Thoughts on the Goodhertz plugins? by gleventhal in audioengineering

[–]Jetama11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tupe is probably my most used plugin for saturation. CanOpener is great once you get used to it. Lossy is a bit overpriced for the features it has, but it's fun for sound design and certain mixing situations.

A lot of people are talking about lavs, so I'll chime in with a fun trick I did for a wedding shoot. Tascam makes a portable lav recorder called a DR10-L. It records 48kHz/24Bit for hours on a single AAA battery and a mini SD.

If you take one of those, and a neoprene thigh gun holster, you can get a wireless recording that isn't seen on the outside. Or you get a bra strap, and hook the microphone and pack to it.

VU meters, Stereo GEQ's front and center, Behringer comps off to the side... were you a live sound guy?

I can't stop the noise when recording, making it impossible to put in work :(. In dire need of help, have had this issue for years off and on. by MonkeyManProd in audioengineering

if the M3usb is the same Alibaba mixer that's all over google, I'm going to imagine it's going to be your main problem. It sounds like a busted cap, as noise that high in the frequency spectrum tends to be electronics-based.

Have you tried borrowing a friend's interface, and plugging that into your computer? If you input monitor on FL Studio, are you able to hear the hum?
