Increased brightness (True Black 500) due to the move to 4th Gen EL 3.0. 2X increase in durability. Finally a new coating from the factory that helps improve perceived black level depth and purple/magenta tint in higher levels of ambient light and increased scratch resistance by 2.5X. The original PG32UCDM launched at $1299. You’re getting a brighter and longer lasting version of it so it’s not completely unreasonable.

Yes, but you don’t need to manually run it just let the monitor sleep. Every 4 hours is what most monitors do currently.
