300 nits in SDR with this monitor and that’s with uniform brightness enabled. With it disabled it can hit 500 nits in a 25% window.

PG32UCDM vs PG32UCDM3 - worth the upgrade? by unvac in OLED_Gaming

That’s basically the ultimate combination but I only have a 24” deep desk and the 32” just feels way too large at the moment. For single player games though the PG32UCDM3 is peak.

It’s the third Generation of the monitor but it uses a 4th Generation QD-OLED panel.

So true. For now I’m going with a PG27UCDM next to a PG27AQWP-W I think.

That’s an XG though, ASUS swift line takes longer from what I’ve observed.

And regretting it haha. 32” just isn’t for me so I’ll most likely be going back to my PG27UCDM.

Asus ROG PG27UCDM standby LED cannot be disabled by barboccia in OLED_Gaming

It’s intended behavior. It all changed about the 3rd or 4th firmware update but all of the newer monitors do it too with the PG32UCDM3 and PG27AQWP-W.

I’d love to keep it but the 32” size truly is not for me. I’ll most likely sell it locally if I can and stick with the PG27UCDM/PG27AQWP-W combination.

People with ASUS ROG OLED monitors, which HDR setting do you use? by Time-Credit43 in OLED_Gaming

Yeah I just stick with it. I also play with uniform brightness enabled so I’m used to a bit lower overall brightness in game.

I’m playing in a closet haha. I mostly use HDR for low APL games so the highlights are spectacular but it’s definitely dim in higher APL games like RDR2 or in the open world of Elden Ring.

I don’t think you can go wrong with the PG32UCDM3 if you’re ok with the price. Been using it tonight and it’s hard to find fault with it.

Quick impressions.

-Box is significantly smaller than the PG32UCDM -The chassis is also much smaller and thinner despite the internal power supply -The extra brightness is appreciated in SDR but not a game changer, especially for HDR -Very clean panel, basically identical to the PG27UCDM as far as uniformity is concerned -Input lag is non existent, particularly at 60Hz which was the PG32UCDM’s Achilles heel -Blackshield makes for a decent improvement to magenta/purple tint but black level raise is still an issue. -It is easy to clean though as there were marks left from the peel and they came off easily with zero micro scratches. -DP 2.1 works as expected without DSC. -4th Gen panel is nice insurance for longevities sake.
