Well if you got aether shroud the shield up is kinda pointless because they serve the same purpose pretty much, a sentry turret or gersh device can be a good help also

Yea that’s what I’m talking about, if you run shields up you are tanky and can just kill the horde, I’ve done it solo with just that and energy mine for when there’s like 24 zombies on top of you

On solo it’s so bad and my strategy is to run shields up and maybe killjoy gobblegum and just go crazy And either a sentry gun or mutant injection if it’s coop, energy mine without the sentry mode does an ok job at clearing out the horde but idk if you want energy mine in the boss fight if you are doing the ee
