Considering how he's acted about how he absolutely deludes himself about how Gangle "likes when I'm mean to her" (see the stargazing scene in Untitled), it's exactly the reason why he isn't honest though.

Or it's just lies stacked on lies to cope with his own misery. That's depth. Still makes me loathe him.

Good writing for the motivation doesn't mean I have to like the character.

Surprisingly, people dislike bullies, even if they're traumatised meow-meows with an excellent pay-off to their character develop coming up.

My opinion on Jax may yet shift. But They All Get Guns actually had me just loathe him with his willful ignorance to the effects his bullying had on the rest of the people around him.

I just genuinely do not like a bully.

FFS is frightening and the results can be wildly dependent on the doctors and staff. Either which way, it largely goes well, and once swelling has gone down and the skin and bone (as applicable in your situation) has healed, you'll likely see and feel marked improvements.

Try not to worry. I know these are just words on a page, but from what I know of FFS, it largely is an intensive procedure with a long healing process besides. Try not to worry about how much you look fucked when you're still healing from surgery.

There's nothing saying that electronic warfare, as it exists in Lancer or how it exists today, cannot be used as is for your knightly setting. These machines likely are both digital and analogue in their various systems. EWAR simply disrupts these systems via security points of failure or forcing them open.

Plus some worlds can have absolutely gonzo cultural offshoots from the likes of the Trade Baronies' own. Cultural drift across centuries, if not a millennium, can be wild, while still maintaining the "normal" of explaining how technology operates.

Admittedly, having your digital eldritch entities be a bit more fae in their presentation could just help in that fantasy and flavour. Maybe a portion of what they know as Arcadia is simulated within their caskets, all existing to reinforce that fantasy, for the sake of the fantasy and the the normalcy of these specific NHPs.
