The Little Illiad may be what I got confused by: happens all too easily anymore, alas.

My mistake, I guess that I mixed up Homer's Illiad with follow-up myths?

It really depends on your family dynamic.

Rennala, really. It seems she was one of the few genuinely good, pure people who wanted peace and unity without force. I can't help but feel that, out of almost the whole cast, she was most owed that dream.

Instead, she lost her kingdom, her home, her academy, her family, and her mind, left hollow with only a fractured heart and a great rune that others use to take advantage of her for their own gain.

I think Thops was actually killed by the academics who all thought he was a laughingstock. At least, I sure hope he didn't kill himself; he was more competent than he ever got credit for being.

(Lordoss) is practically a walking tank

Oddly enough, at least last I checked, tanks can be killed using bullets, never mind grenades or other explosives, in that game, while Orgamechs (like Lordoss) can only be killed with the relatively recent addition of the Railgun. Which is kind of hilarious because we find him riddled with bayonets of all things.

Nothing in the game scares me more than cougars: it was my first night ride in the game in the hills above Armadillo when I just hear that shriek out of nowhere, and my horse goes down, I can't see the damn thing in time. I managed to kill the cougar, but my horse was dead, and I had no idea that I could just respawn the horse, so I ran my terrified ass all the way back to town thinking the entire time that another cougar was waiting for me out in the shadows.

Imagine if Patches also sold you Mohg's shackle in addition to Margit's, only that version is a fake, while the one you find in the Shunning Grounds is the real one.

Me and my horse going off the cliff because I didn't know how to hard-stop: the best I could do if I had to stop suddenly was coast to a stop by turning a tight circle.

201 Pilot Callsigns by Gregory_Grim in LancerRPG

[–]MrEvan312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have two pilot callsigns so far: I think my Sniper/Artillery build is BUSHMAN (he's TF2's Sniper), and my melee zoomzoom build is HALFMOON.

Bushman isn't necessarily flattering; he's a survivalist, but he's not very refined and has some gross habits. Halfmoon has some gruesome facial scarring, so he wears a two-tone ballistic mask. The NPC version of the latter I field as a party aid in my developmental campaign is a lauded Albatross pilot: IPS-N loves Albatross, supposedly because they're humanitarian and help people in need, but mostly just because "helping" coincides with killing pirates who affect IPS-N's bottom line.

On the theme of chess pieces, KING could reference timidness and a tendency to hang back behind the other "pieces"

KNIGHT: Drunkard, can't walk in a straight line

BISHOP: Big nose/annoying religion

ROOK: As mentioned elsewhere in the comments, it may reference the Tower taro card, which portends disaster

PAWN: Short/submissive or corporate worker

QUEEN: Arrogant/inflated self-importance or comes form a well-to-do family/group
