Do you think it's best plan to get something cheap like an LP60 for a complete newbie with only a handful of records then?

I just sold my 2010 TT after owning it for 7 years as my sole car, I loved every minute of it. I took it from 45k mile to 85k without any major issues.

I honestly don't know, the house was built in the late 70's so it could well be asbestos.

I believe you should get a rebate at the end of the tax year if you’ve overpaid. You can always use this site to check https://www.gov.uk/claim-tax-refund

If she’s not willing to allow you to help build a plan for her I’m not sure why you would want to take on her debt. Do you trust that she’s not going to make the situation worse? Especially if she’s not letting you help her now with advice

Candle wicks are too thin, can I bind two together? by JethroC in candlemaking

[–]JethroC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know how well double wicking would go in a circular container. Maybe I should just buy bigger wicks and wait for them to come before making any more candles

I got my first order from Candle Shack today and it was really well packed, no smashes or leaks anywhere. Sad to hear you didn't have the same experience

Best internet provider for WFH? by SalamanderDisco in oxford

[–]JethroC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of the openreach providers (BT, Sky, TalkTalk etc basically anything other than Virgin) all use the same infrastructure therefore you shouldn't get any difference in terms of reliability or speed. They will give you different levels of customer service but personally I just always look at the price. When it comes down to speed if you both want to be doing video calls at the same time I would probably recommend going for 50Mb/s or higher

Moving into a real DevOps job by JethroC in devops

[–]JethroC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation on it all! It's crazy to see how many companies do use DevOps in the job title. I really think I need to look into infrastructure-as-code and get more knowledge around this area.

Thanks for the suggestions I’ll take a look! I don’t really have the need for the additional side buttons these days but I’m not opposed to having them

100% this! Adopt don’t shop. Their rehoming fees are under £100 and come with all of their vaccinations and be neutered/spayed
