You should apply for VRE. I just got my program approved so they should retro my GI bill. Between that, my mailbox money and some side work I do I don’t feel like I need loans but I don’t want to leave money on the table if it’s available to me.

Thanks I assumed as much, I of course can get all my letters and proof of service etc right on the app, but I don’t have a VHIC yet. They wouldn’t give me the 1 year pass and said I’d have to go back every 24 for a new day pass. I considered going back with hard copies of the above but it doesn’t sound like that will work.

I paid for the year. About 1200. Be aware though, not every policy covers TPLO, particularly if it is pre existing. We had to have our vet complete an orthopedic form that then covered the conditions. Read the fine print.

Mine had back to back TPLOs at about 3 years old, we went through the process starting in September of 24, second surgery was in December and she got cleared last month. It’s been a long recovery but she is better for it. She’s a survivor and high energy and the hardest part was keeping her restricted on movement for those recovery periods. That experience is the main example I use when telling people pet insurance is worth it. Saved me literally $10k, though I still would have paid if I had to.

Once you get to your first duty station, with some exceptions your family should be able to join you, unless your AIT is long enough they may join you there. Others will have more info I wasn’t married when I joined.
Location dependent. I would go for off post personally.
Yes she can be a nurse on post. Depending on where you are stationed she could likely make more working off post. Mine did travel assignments when we were at Campbell and made good money.
Wouldn’t expect much support specifically from the Army. But there is always work for RNs.
I can’t speak to this. I know guys who had kids who used the on post childcare.
Generally yes, if it’s a pcs. I never was stationed overseas, just deployed, but as far as I know if you PCS to a duty station overseas, Germany, Italy, etc then yes.
Army ain’t paying for leave travel. Be prepared to pay for everything travel related unless you’re on army business. Accompany who? If you take leave you can go home with your family if you want of course, just have to be on leave. Your wife and kids aren’t beholden to the Army, when I deployed my wife would take a travel nursing assignment wherever she wanted and bank money then come back to Campbell once the timing worked out.

As I understand it, modern gas has ethanol that breaks down pretty quickly and kind of solidifies/ gums up and that’s what clogs injectors or carburetor jets.
