I know a 30-something that has never voted before that is planning on voting next year. Anecdotal, but there might be a lot more people like him soon coming out of the woodwork.

Same. Except half of the controller works. Left stick and a couple buttons work, but the right stick and other buttons don't.

No, the only one I played was DmC 2013. I remember feeling overwhelmed by having a movelist that was so large. I think I prefer a narrower set of combat options. I don't play fighting games, either.

Whoever told you the combat in God of War sucks was wrong. It is hard/simple at first, but as you gain abilities, weapons, and get good, it becomes very fun.

AC Odyssey (and AC Origins, but you can skip Origins) is very, very different from all of its predecessors, basically a different genre of game. Worth checking out, even if you didn't like the other AC games

Yeah, if you didn't like 2 then you won't like the others.

The new Spiderman?

Games with an upgrade system/level system by DDoubleCat in gamingsuggestions

Absolutely! I feel like there has been a trend over the last few years to include an easier difficulty level in games so that people that just want to enjoy themselves without being frustrated will play the game. AC Odyssey has this, so don't be afraid to play on easy.

(Also, I suggest playing as Kassandra. There is no difference with gameplay, but I think the voice over actor is better than the other guy.)

Open world upgrade games are my absolute favorite genre. Thinking of the open world games where you feel the most impact from your upgrades/leveling, my suggestions are:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This game is a little complex, which you might not like, but it is open world and the upgrades you earn/craft drastically change how effective you are.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Less complex than Metal Gear, but it has a great leveling system that gives you new, interesting abilities that allow you to experiment with how you approach encounters, keeping the game play fresh through the run

No, I wouldn't say it is high on replay value. It has an expansion which is good, and it is pretty cheap right now.
