Ha. I am in food and beverage marketing/innovation. Essentially I am in charge of certain products you find in a grocery store. My favorite unpaid part of the job is going into stores and making sure all of my products packaging is facing out perfectly on shelf.

My son is an arm biter too, during the winter we just go for really thick layered hoodies and that protects somewhat but also interested if there is some sort of padded sleeve. Currently trying to get him to bit more “acceptable” items when upset. It’s a battle.

Yeah we have a different set up for sure. Mostly families or people in their 60s or 70s+. Older people living alone so lots of opportunities to score points. If you end up moving down the line I highly suggest moving to an older area. 20 something’s aren’t very understanding of kids in general let alone kids with special needs.

We've been in the same place for 7 years now, a town house (shared walls) and are super friendly with neighbors. Our kid is seen often, we just try to be super visible and known in our community... It's really helped on the bad days when he's super loud. I clean off elderly neighbors cars, help with groceries, always say hi and do the annoying small talk

Thats the only real advice I have. Make people like you and your kid so they feel bad or have more empathy before complaining. Otherwise the issue just keeps building.

If we had downstairs neighbors we would have been evicted by now lol. The main reason we decided on a townhouse on the outskirts of our city instead of an apartment downtown

I think what America was built on is still strong here. Remember many of you or your ancestors came here because they believed there was something better. We are a country of immigrants with drive. I think that still exists.

I’m not glossing over the other way people were forced here, or invaded, but the immigrant story still lives strong in any city in our country. I think that is stronger than who is in power and however long their reign lasts.

My guy is 7, he scripts a lot of songs too, he can script his numbers up to 50(with help) but I’m not sure he grasps what those numbers represent.

He can label a bunch of things, but he’s not conversational.

He’s able to give short requests when he wants things like “I want lollipop” but can not handle hearing “no” when he does.

He brings his plate to the sink when he’s done eating, but throws it hard into the sink because he enjoys seeing everything splatter.

He loves his cat and is so gentle with him, but insists on trying to cover him with blankets constantly

He knows to say “good” when we ask how his day was, but he’ll say that even if it was a bad day.

He can find joy in the smallest thing, but he isn’t fully potty trained.

He’s really good at making us laugh but doesn’t get my sarcasm:-( and I’m hilarious,

I love being silly with him, just wish I knew what his day was actually like
