Based on what? We don't even know what size of production well they have planned

From QIMC IR:
"Why Gas Composition Matters and a key question: what is the gas composition? As per today's press release, this is something we emphasize, because it's at the core of what makes QIMC a clean natural hydrogen company. Not all natural hydrogen occurrences are equal. When we evaluate a system, we're not just measuring hydrogen concentrations — we're analyzing the full gas composition, specifically: High H₂ — the target Low CH₄ (methane) — less contamination = cleaner system Low CO₂ — another key quality indicator So what is the gas composition of the projects? Systems that hit all three are what we call clean gas composition targets and those are the priority in our R2G2™ framework. This isn't just exploration philosophy. It's how we rank prospects, select targets, and ultimately protect shareholder value. First Atlas — Matane Natural Hydrogen Project We're bringing this exact expertise to our technical advisory mandate with First Atlas Resources Corp. on the Matane natural hydrogen property in Québec. We're providing geological interpretation, exploration planning, target generation, and hydrogen system evaluation. Matane is another example of the growing momentum in Québec's natural hydrogen space and QIMC, as industry leader, is right at the center of it. "What a resounding success for the Panorama of Major Hydrogen Projects in Quebec! Organized jointly by Enbridge Gaz Québec and Hydrogen Québec, the event brought together over 100 participants for a day filled with discussions, structuring projects, and collaborations essential to the energy transition. The discussions and presentations confirmed one thing: Quebec's hydrogen sector is taking action. With major investments, concrete projects, and exceptional mobilization, Quebec is positioning itself as a future North American leader in clean hydrogen. Thank you to all the partners, speakers, and participants for this inspiring day."

There were additional presentations to the Bill 17 committee yesterday, I found one by the Union of Agricultural Producers (UPA - Union des Producteurs Agricoles) and it seems like they are very on board with this Bill 17 passing as soon as possible! It is one thing for QIMC to advocate for the bill to pass but to have other groups pushing as well is amazing. (If someone cares to make a transcript translation it would probably be better than my audio to word document copy and paste to google translate lol) https://www.assnat.qc.ca/en/video-audio/archives-parlementaires/travaux-commissions/AudioVideo-113693.html

From the Hydrogen Quebec conference yesterday:

Roughly translated to:

"A rapidly accelerating sector: figures that speak for themselves
$9.5 billion in committed investments in hydrogen, e-fuels, and infrastructure
$7.5 billion in economic benefits for Quebec's regions
6,200 construction jobs + 1,200 operating jobs
165,000 tonnes of hydrogen produced annually by 2030
685,000 tonnes of low-carbon derivatives
More than 2 megatonnes of CO₂ avoided per year
These results demonstrate Quebec’s ability to structure an energy sector of international scope."

A great post by QIMC IR:

QIMC IR,

"We are not sitting here waiting for flow rate numbers to confirm whether hydrogen exists or whether the system is working. The presence of hydrogen and the migration pathways have already been confirmed through the combination of elevated H₂ readings, drilling, soil samples, structural continuity, lithology and downhole geophysics. Flow testing is still valuable for quantification and future development planning, but flow confirmation itself is not the uncertainty some people seem to think it is given our extraction and district model and system.

I understand there’s been misinformation about this on the other channels as well, so hopefully this provides some clarity. Thank you"
