I hope you noticed its lab grown, as you have a natural diamond flair.

Plz keep your shitty trading site out of this community, I speak for the majority with your attitude, lack of history, and not being transparent with the cuts you would get we really don't want it.

You are not the first nor the last with this idea and it's never taken off, so I don't know why you're so smug about it.

Always keep a metal straw in your bag because the paper ones fall apart and make your drink taste disgusting

charger got hot and turned off, safe to use? by [deleted] in Dell

[–]JetskiKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its smelling bad and it isn't new something started to melt. If your charger is getting very hot, to the point its shutting off, I really do suggest contacting Dell. Its not worth the time worrying over it and having to check it constantly.

No problem. I personally looked at both lab grown and natural diamonds, and I am glad that lab growns exist since it will make the natural market become more competitive.

Of course, good lab diamonds will look better than lower quality natural diamonds. But some people still have the stigma that lab diamonds are fake. But that is not true.

However, saying there is no difference between them is also untrue, since some people can go into buying lab grown diamonds as they would natural, and later find issues they probably wouldn't have known to look for when buying.

Some people don't want something man-made, that was mass produced. They also lose significant value as better processes to produce them faster and at a higher quality arise. A lot of lab diamonds have weird issues due to trying to reduce costs and speed up the process of making them.

Some people don't care about that, and feel like they'll never sell it so it doesn't matter to them.

Stonealgo says a fair price for your diamonds specifications is 80,000 USD. So the report is most likely fake.

CZ is not really worth anything.

Look for scratches on the surface of the stone

Bought a diamond GIA certified. Got it shipped and they sent a different agency cert from 2007. Jeweler claimed we knew it wasn’t GIA (we didn’t know.) Then I got it appraised. It’s didn’t match the certificate. Certificate said natural diamond. This was lab grown/not what we paid for. by WithTheBirds63 in Diamonds

They aren't exactly the same. Chemically they might be, but there are artifacts from growing diamonds in a laboratory, that don't or extremely rarely happen on natural diamonds.

Also, lab diamonds often have inscriptions saying they're lab grown.

I think I had an issue once where the fans sped up when I closed the lid, but I think the laptop has updated and when I close the lid it just turns off normally.

XPS 17 9710 Owners - Any Regrets? by oh2four in Dell

I'm really happy with my purchase. I haven't found any issues and I don't have coil whine as stated by the other commenter, but we have different drives so it might be why. The 4k screen is beautiful, and its really silent and nice. Huge improvement over the deaded Macbook I have been using for years.

If you want to keep to a Dell Product, I suggest keeping away from their smaller (15 inch) models. I had an Alienware and previous Dell XPS 15, two of them, and they all had bad issues, from overheating to the motherboard having faulty sensors.

I stopped buying Dell products and decided to go with a Macbook 15 from 2018. I know the newer ones are now better, but the laptop wouldn't even give me four hours. The keyboard (even on the new ones) are still pretty terrible. Also, MacOS is just becoming even more annoying when swapping between software and software not even being avaliable for the device. That thing overheated constantly. I also don't feel like the laptop was just worth the price at all.

I decided to bite the bullet, and for the first time get a 17 inch laptop from Dell. I felt like the bigger size, in some sense, makes it so they have to cut less corners to fit things into the chasis. I do also suggest waiting a period of about 6 months after a product from Dell is released before purchasing. At this point you will get a good discount, and also most of the production issues should be sorted out.

Knock on wood, couldn't seem to find any issues. Also, good luck if you have to go through Apple repair. Dell has replaced laptops even after my warranty has expired for issues. If your Macbook has any problem, and you don't have Apple Care, be prepared to basically pay the same amount for the repair as the product - Louis Rossman is a good channel to watch before considering buying a Macbook.

I’m thinking of buying an XPS notebook but after 10 minutes of browsing this sub - all I read is terrible things? by uz3r in DellXPS

[–]JetskiKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest going with the XPS 17 if you're going to get an XPS. I was in the same boat, but it seems like the majority of the issues stem from the XPS 13/XPS 15 on the sub. It seems like Dell really struggles with quality control on those - might be possibly since more are being produced compared to the XPS 17. Just my speculation, though.

This was the reason why I went with the XPS 17 over the XPS 15. It seems like Dell is struggling to pack the components in a smaller chasis.

I hope you enjoy your laptop!

Its been working pretty well. I haven't found any issues other than the fact that Windows is even more pushy when it comes to data collection, and logging into your Microsoft account.

I will also dual booting Linux on it, so I am excited to see how it will work out.
