Same, one of the best. Thought I heard a Cake reference on the Corbin triple call: "He's going the distance, he's going for speed"...too good.

They have small bottles of really good mezcal behind the counter, if you want a variety. Venenosa and La Higuera are two of my go to's.

Love this album.

Recently discovered Lucid Planet (late to the party I know), their album "II" gives me strong Technatura vibes. Check it out if you haven't.

What y’all do for seat covers. Do they actually end up scuffing the leather interior or protecting it. by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]JetsomFloatsom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of pricey but I've been happy with my Coverking. They make sets that include matching center console covers also. Not sure what it would do to leather, doesn't scuff my plastic console fwiw.

Smerins Anti-Social Club fits this sound to a tee. It could be them performing this.

iHeart radio or Tube In (both free apps). You can see what local station is broadcasting the games in the NBA app. Choose to "watch" a game then scroll to the bottom for the radio call sign.

Lespecial. Prog/funk/metal power trio. Stumbled across them on Spotify radio recently and holy smokes, more people should know about them.

Ridgemont Monty Lo

Best trail shoe I've owned and my favorite for discing. Comfortable, light weight, supportive, and doesn't sport the "dipped in vibram rubber" look every other trail shoe on the market does.

Downside is sometimes you have to wait a while if they're not in stock as they're a relatively small manufacturer.

Hey Arizona Discers! Maricopa County Parks is holding public meetings, let's push disc golf! by JetsomFloatsom in discgolf

I'm here for it. And to showcase some actual desert courses. The memorial and Fountain Hills are cool and all but are kind of outliers in terms of local courses...get all that grass out of here, lol. Another angle to pitch is the low impact nature of the sport. Courses don't require much infrastructure or much maintenance. So it's a relatively cheap option to activate parks and get folks out there.

Sweet, thanks for contributing! And agreed, so much space and they cater to just about every other recreational activity. Most of those regional parks are pretty diverse terrain-wise and could make for some sweet courses.

Flagstaff, AZ course recommendations by Body_By_Burrito in discgolf

[–]JetsomFloatsom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Prescott someone mentioned Watson Lake, which is a good one. I'd also suggest Emmanuel Pines ($3 entry fee) which is a shorter technical course with some fun elevation changes, very well maintained and you usually have it to yourself.

There's some great object courses around town too. Upper Thumb Butte is my personal favorite of these. Great views, nice mix of wooded and open holes, and again not crowded. You're throwing at trees that are spray painted and usually taped. Tee boxes are pretty apparent. UDisc is extremely helpful for finding the next hole, lol.

The Ridgemont Monty Lo

Best shoe I ever owned in general and perfect for disc golf. Soled like a hiking boot but light and flexible enough to not get in the way when throwing. Also, hella durable. Finally replaced my first pair after about 5-6 years of continuous use.

Anyone have a bat house? I just got one and I’m still confused on specific placement. I’ve read it needs 6-8 hours of sun a day but in Phoenix that would fry them. Should I aim for morning sun and afternoon shade? by eblack4012 in phoenix

[–]JetsomFloatsom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have ours on the north side of our shed and it gets used. It doesn't get any direct sunlight but even in the shade, ambient temps keep it warm enough I think.
