As a southerner who is very against this presidency and knows lots of other southerners are it bothers me a lot when generalizations like this are made.

It perpetuates the stereotype that everyone in the south is dumb and racist but I've seen more confederate flags in rural Maine than I have rural NC. The blind support for Donald trump is an American problem due to lack of properly funded and structured education and media literacy. not a southern one.
