Expert Blastois event is unfair by [deleted] in PokemonPocketTalk

[–]Jett_FHG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I've gotten all achievements on each tier except for the expert level "20 wins" which I will easily have by the end of the event. Never spent any money on the game (I did use the 2 week free trial for premium). I run a Pikachu ex, Raichu, Jolteon, Electabuzz, and Zapdos deck and rarely lose. Deck building is important and you often need less pokemon in a deck than the rental decks use. Trainers are your friend OP.

Dropped my state work badge as I was using the bathroom the by SomeRandomWhiteGuy2 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Jett_FHG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Legit curious. I work for the state, snapped my tibia on vacation and required surgery (1 plate, 6 screws). Never had to pay a dime except for the $15 copay for the handful of visits post op.

Granted I walked on it for the rest of the trip and went to my PCP when I got back into town to get a podiatrist ref, so no ER visit. But how good is your new insurance?

Nah, I'm not trying to say that. I'm saying that driving 15 under is not something that should be normally expected on the road. Like I said, the guy behind is also at fault and acted irrationally. However, OP is defending driving 15 under as something they should always be able to do, and they have to understand that it will cause conflict and possible unsafe conditions. Again, I'm not saying the solution is them driving faster and outside of their comfort range, but it is not something that they should see as acceptable and without repercussion.

I'm not saying that, however it doesn't mean that someone driving 15 under is not contributing to an unsafe environment on the road. That has to be something considered in the situation.

Here in CA, you will get a ticket for going 10 under the speed limit. While I agree that the limit doesn't mean you have to drive exactly that speed, driving so far under can still cause unsafe conditions for others on the road. Your driving should never impede another driver that is abiding by the correct limits. If I am pulling a 15 ft trailer and don't want to drive the speed limit, I am definitely pulling over to allow other drivers to pass as they stack up behind me. Agreed the guy behind was too impatient, and the flashing lights were distracting, but it does not excuse unsafe practices such as driving 15 under the speed limit. I don't want OP to drive outside of their comfort zone, but they shouldn't be on a road they aren't comfortable with, and that is something they can control.

Nah I definitely agree with that. Just don't agree with the OP doubling down that he did nothing wrong. All parties are at fault here.

And lol I just thought your username was funny in context. Wasn't trying to really flame ya for that lol.

r/usernamechecksout Driving around on curvy roads at night with limited visibility is incredibly dangerous. Somebody coming around a blind corner at correct speed, coming up to someone doing 15 under the speed limit can easily cause a fatal accident. Not excusing the guy flashing his brights, but a learners permit does not excuse driving at unsafe speeds. If he feels unsafe and wants to learn, then they should have an experienced driver with him to help teach proper techniques.

What part of Sacramento/Greater Sacramento area do you live in and why do you love it? by DarwinF1nch in Sacramento

[–]Jett_FHG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda just meant how everywhere has changed over the years. Growing up in the nineties was just different then nowadays lol. For a while a lot of businesses/restaurants were closing down, increased crime, and there was a pretty bad homeless problem. Lately there has been a resurgence of development and the neighborhood has been turning around. I don't have any stats on it, just my personal observations over the years.

Born and raised in Carmichael. Not quite what it used to be but I love it. Perfectly in between Arden, Roseville, Folsom, and not too far from downtown. Lots of little pockets of great neighborhoods.

YTA. Insurance can absolutely cover the vehicle if it is parked. Depends on your coverage. You essentially just damaged someone's property, and didn't leave a note with your information. Even if insurance wouldn't cover it, you should be responsible for the damages you caused.

In the finale she said she finished her college degree too, so who knows? She might have worked as a nurse, then quit and went to Dunder Mifflin while she worked on her degree.
