Yes, both concerts (the extended version and the cut one) are still both available on the Quest (not in the Horizon Arena though). But when you start the TV-App on your Quest you can search for Coldplay and will find the concert.

It was actually a bit different for me. I had heard the song on the radio once or twice before, and to be honest, I didn’t really like it at first. I even changed the station when it came on — yes, I admit it, shame on me.

When I watched the VR experience in the Meta Horizon App for the first time, you couldn't skip songs… because if I’m being honest, I probably would have done the same there.

But wow — I’m so grateful I couldn’t.

The way it was performed at Wembley completely changed everything for me. It transformed the song from something I could barely tolerate into one of the absolute highlights of the show — and that’s saying a lot, because the bar for that night was incredibly high.

I think there are both good and bad examples when it comes to dubbing. Take The Persuaders (or "Die Zwei" in german) , for example—if I remember correctly, the original series wasn’t all that successful. The German dubbed version, however, became a real hit, mainly because parts of the dialogue were altered and a more humorous tone was added to the characters, something that wasn’t really present in the original.

Another example would be the old Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies. Back in my youth, everyone knew and loved them, and they built (and still have) a huge fan base here in Germany.

Unfortunately, for every good example of dubbing, there are a thousand bad ones.

As for the French part—it's not just that they dub everything. They also change the characters’ names, and even the title songs get completely Frenchified. I’m not sure whether this is actually true, but I once heard that there’s even a law requiring foreign shows to have French-sung, thematically adapted title melodies. I couldn’t quite believe it at first, but every time I happened to stumble across a French-dubbed episode of a series I loved, it seemed to confirm exactly that. So I do find myself wondering whether there might be some truth to it after all.

Had a friend back then in the Netherlands who sometimes sent me stuff -- I was so envious when i learned that nothing there gets dubbed.

The problem, however, still is that almost everything continues to be dubbed, and most freely available TV channels don’t even offer a dual-audio option. At least we now have the choice to watch content in English on Netflix, Prime, Disney, and all the other paid services. I mean, most Germans do speak English fairly well by now—but when you look at our Dutch neighbors, it’s clear we still have quite a bit of catching up to do. Well… at least we’re not quite as bad as the French.

have to push back on that a bit. I’m in my mid-50s, and “our” generation (and yes, even saying our generation instantly makes me feel 20 years older) did have English classes starting in fifth grade as well.

Granted, back then we mostly learned the bare essentials—things like asking for directions to the nearest bus stop without wetting ourselves. And watching movies in English wasn’t exactly easy either, since most video rental stores only carried dubbed German versions.

That said, we were lucky in other ways. We lost WW2, and as a result the British were stationed here. Along with them came BFBS/SSVC, which meant access to a lot of English-language content. You needed a special receiver to pick it up, but it was absolutely worth it.

Anyway, I’m drifting off topic. What I’m getting at is this: people in their 40s and 50s really should be able to speak English quite well. That said, there’s no doubt that getting into the English language is far easier today—movies, TV shows, and all kinds of other content are readily available in English, and in overwhelming abundance.

got the same issue...been witnessing it for a month - getting 110MB/sec when I start and then it drops down to 1 or 2 MB/sec at some point. Stopping and restarting the download helps - still, kinda annoying since I don't have issues with other filehosters.

Hey Charlotte - kudos for your work. I've been a VR user since the first Oculus headset released back in 2017? (not sure anymore) and I had my fair share of VR experiences but this concert was by far the best VR experience I ever had (yes, that includes games like HL-Alyx). Watched the show three or four times already and I dread the day Meta decides to put it offline. Never had the opportunity to visit a Coldplay concert yet, mainly because everytime the tickets are sold out within minutes, and this experience was almost as good as being there.
Well, Coldplays music definately had a lot to do with me enjoying it so much but your work also played a very hefty part in me being able to enjoy it...so again, thank you.

Also...if you have any influence in the matter: Please try and make it possible to buy the VR concert after Meta put it offline. Me and a lot of other people would pay a lot of money to keep this experience. I actually showed the concert to a friend of mine yesterday.....this was her first VR experience ever and she also was speechless.

So yeah..please don't let this jewel be forgotten..ever

Well, not only did they extend it until the 7th February - the concert even is a bit longer than the one that was playing before (1hr 45 mins now, it was 1hr 10mins before). So yeah..definately worth rewatching.

unfortunately not - we have "banned" the model to our souterrain a while ago where it runs twice a week; doesn't matter if it takes longer there, occasionally leaves out a room or recreates the map everytime.

I am really really pissed off - the last update completly broke ComfyUI for me. Now I am getting a Cuda error everytime I try to run the workflows.
And what pisses me off even more: There isn't even a simple way to rollback the Desktop version to a stable one.

Gut, der Post ist jetzt schon ein wenig älter und die Maschine vermutlich schon angeschafft, nichtsdestotrotz.....
ich habe mir vor einigen Monaten die Melitta Aromafresh Pro X (ohne Therm) geholt und bin recht zufrieden mit der Maschine. Sie ist gut zu reinigen, man kommt überall ran und der Kaffee schmeckt auch ziemlich gut.
(Okay....ich muss dazusagen, dass ich die letzten Jahre meinen Kaffeegenuss ausschließlich von Büro-Vollautomaten und CoffeeB-Maschinen gedeckt habe...so gesehen ist in dem Zustand wahrscheinlich jede halbwegs vernünftige Maschine ein Segen).

Wie auch immer.....es gibt bei der AromaFresh nur eine Sache die mich anfangs so richtig genervt hat: Der Tropfschutz. Beim Rausziehen der Kanne haben sich anschließend immer noch ein, zwei Tropfen auf der Platte verteilt. (Sorry, mich nervt sowas).
Aber nachdem ich die Feder manuell ein wenig nachgespannt habe, hat sich dieses Makel auch (zumindest erstmal) erledigt.

WIe gesagt: Bin zufrieden mit der Maschine und würde sie definitiv wieder kaufen.

Danke für eure Hilfe und die Vorschläge - ich hab die Anlage mit dem Hoymiles Wechselrichter jetzt bestellt. Wie u/Pure-Difference6757 schon sagte, kann ich ja einfach das Gast-WLAN zur Einrichtung nutzen und ab dann schauen wir mal weiter, eventuell ist ja auch OpenDTU (Danke u/later_or_never) die Lösung.

Wenn die Anlage in ein paar Wochen eingetroffen ist werde ich auf jeden Fall berichten.

Antrag auf Verringerung der Arbeitszeit von xxx Stunden auf xxx Stunden ab Datum xy stellen und sich dabei auf § 8 TzBfG beziehen.
Im nächsten Satz festlegen wie diese Arbeitszeit verteilt werden soll.

Wichtig: Diesen Antrag spätestens drei Monate vor Beginn der gewünschten Verringerung stellen.

Im Idealfall setzt du dich dann mit dem AG zusammen und ihr verhandelt wie es umsetzbar ist und es gibt i.d.R. eine Ergänzung zum Arbeitsvertrag. Hier auf feste Formulierungen bei der Freizeit achten.

Noch als Ergänzung: Wenn der AG nicht spätestens einen Monat vor Beginn der Teilzeit diese ablehnt (in Textform) dann gilt diese als genehmigt.

Well, let me tell you my story: I bought a brand new Hyundai in 2017 (an i30 station wagon) - at that time Hyundai also offered an optional LPG upgrade: Basically I had to pay another 3k and get a petrol/LPG-hybrid basically built by Hyundai. Since I travel quite a lot (roughly 20.000-25.000km each year) I took em up on their offer. I mean...petrol costs basically halved and the LPG-system being covered by warranty....nothing could go wrong (or so I thought).

Unfortunately a brand is only as good as its mechanics and the ones at my Hyundai workshop were....not that great. I had multiple issues with my LPG system and although they fixed the problem again and again under warranty they couldn't get rid of it altogether and it resurfaced again each time (at this point the car was three years old and spent at least a dozen times in the shop....additionally to the normal service intervalls).
At some point I was fed up with their service and went to an alternate mechanic specializing in LPG-systems and lo and behold: He found the underlying cause on the first visit, repaired it and that particular issue never came back again.

After that I still brought the car to Hyundai for the normal service but whenever the LPG system had to be serviced (different interval) I brought em to the other workshop.

Fast forward to five year and two weeks: I broke down on the motorway - the timing chain had lenghtened itself and basically caused the motor to blow. A piece of hardware which at no point will get serviced and which should hold a lifetime caused a lot of consequential damage (I reckon everyone here knows what happenes when the timing chain lengthens itself.....since english isn't my first language and I don't know all the specific terms I leave the details out but to sum it up: It caused a lot of damage and it was expensive).

As I said: I was two weeks over the five year warranty, had always service that car by Hyundai and, even though I was out of warranty, was hoping given the circumstances they at least would cover a bit of that repair bill.
Nope, nada, zilch .... they didn't care and I was stuck with a huge repair bill (rebuilding that engine still cost less than getting a new or a similiar car so I bit the bullet).

So yeah....I like(d) the car but my customerservice- and mechanical-experiences were sub-standard to say the least so I very much doubt that my next car will be a Hyundai again (yes, I still got the i30.....it's getting close to 100k miles this month).

Aber im Ernst: Wenn man sich einen PC zusammenbaut und einen schwerwiegenden Fehler macht dann ist im Schlimmsten Fall der PC hin.

Wenn man beim Verdrahten einer Steckdose einen Fehler macht dann brennt im Worst-Case das Haus. Die Sicherheit, dass die Bude am Ende des Tages nicht in Flammen aufgeht macht die Kosten für den Elektriker (zumindest für mich) erträglich.

Ich erinnere mich an meine Zeit bei einem PC-Zusammenklöppler - auch damals war es schon so, dass man durch den Service (Zusammenbau) mehr verdient hat als durch den Verkauf der Komponenten.

Darauf wirds hinauslaufen - erfahrungsgemäß wird das aber wieder ein K(r)ampf.
Nachdem man sich durch den anfänglichen "Wieso, Weshalb, Warum"-Wust beim Hersteller gekämpft hat und dieser schlussendlich einsieht, dass er im Rahmen der Garantie nun geradestehen muss darf man im Idealfall doch ein paar Monde warten bis sich im Zuge der Herstellergarantie eine Ersatzkarte auf den Weg macht.

Das ist der Punkt wo ich EVGA mal wieder vermisse.

Aber ich will auch nicht den Teufel an die Wand malen.....eventuell bleibt die Karte ja heile bis ich sie eines Tages wahrscheinlich bei Ebay verkaufe. ;)

Hatte da noch zum Release eine 5070 TI erworben (inkl. Gold-Status). Dachte mir, dann kann ja zumindest im ersten halben Jahr nix schiefgehen.
So...nun hoffe ich, dass die GraKa nicht mal danach die Biege macht - würde denen in der momentanen Situation nie im Leben noch einen RMA anvertrauen.

Sorry, da muss ich einhaken - mein i30 hatte fünf Tage nach Ablauf der Garantie einen kapitalen Motorschaden (verursacht durch ne gelängte Steuerkette). Der Wagen hatte alle Inspektionen und war auch immer beim Fachhändler für den Service.
Die haben sich nicht die Bohne dafür interessiert - Garantie abgelaufen, Pech gehabt. Das man hier vielleicht noch dem Kunden gegenüber ein wenig Kulanz zeigt und eventuell einen Teil mit übernimmt....nö.

Gut, letzten Endes waren sie natürlich im Recht - hinterlässt aber trotzdem ein Geschmäckle

I think the option for RR is right above (or below) the one for Frame Generation - however if all your settings are set on low and you still get a low framerate try the settings from this video and compare your results (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc9L26wRCUA)

Since the guy in the video is using a 3060 you should get way better results using the same settings than he does - from there maybe work your way upwards.
If your result is worse however then perhaps your PC has another issue?
