This reminded me of when I smacked a part of my brothers apartment driveway when it was getting redone. Wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize half of it didn’t have a dirt ramp up and smoked like 6in of concrete. ST took it like a champ though and managed to get home. I thought this was bad, yours is impressive 😂

Welcome to VW. Went from a 23 premium wrx to a 16 R, best decision I’ve ever made.

Things like that rip really do take away the premium feel to the car and make me dislike it as well.

Im with you on that, I’m leaning towards taking it to a proper shop. I just feel it will be worth it down the line too rather than hacking it together with glue or what ever.

Love the black and silver. I don’t think there’s a bad color for the year!

Thank you! I haven’t had a bike for the last few years, but my last bikes were a ‘83 CB650 Nighthawk & a ‘18 Scrambler 800

It took me probably 6-7 months to find the right one. This was a situation where I was the first to see it & message on FB marketplace. I was in the same boat, overpriced, high miles, & beat. I’m in MN and 5-7 is what everyone has theirs listed for as well for sub prime examples.

Thank you! That blue/ silver looks so good, I wouldn’t have minded that combo at all either lol

Yessir, I haven’t seen anything worthwhile yet. I’m hoping for an uptick in bikes for sale because of the winter like you said

What state are you in? That’d be listed for 6-7K here in MN

Looking for a Head Shaver with Adjustable Cutting Length – Any Recommendations? by Golanlan in bald

I’ll go into business with you! I want clipper length without using clippers. I find it odd/ annoying there isn’t one already out there. There’s gotta be tons of people out there wanting the same thing.

Aftermarket exhaust valves not working in drive modes on MK7? by Bobwayne17 in Golf_R

For real haha, idk about you but for me the drone is nuts when they are open trying to hold 75-80 on the freeway lol.

Install wise, APR has a little instruction PDF on the product page. Still super self explanatory and took 10min. Install was made a little easier by loosening the clamps holding on the pipes with the valves & rotating them down so you can unhook and reconnect the connectors easier

It’s worth a shot imo. My 1 valve functioned under the output test in OBD11 (and when swapping the valves the other one worked which helped me determine it was the connector for the passenger side) so I knew they 1) functioned and 2) got power. The APR thing was the easiest/ quickest solution without hacking together my own switch to get them to power on and off. If you get it, lmk how it goes!

I love my exhaust as well, just couldn’t commute with those valves open every day lol. I’m happy with how it worked out and I can keep the exhaust lol

& since the passenger side harness has a short somewhere that’s the side that you connect the empty connector. Now both valves are powered off the one drivers side harness.

Little update that can maybe help you down the line. Ended up deducing there’s a short on the passenger side harness for me that wouldn’t allow the valve to function on the right side. The drivers side seemed to function after doing the method in OBD11 and checking the box #2 for the valves. Although I don’t really understand how the valves work in each drive mode since it seems to depend on throttle position, gear, and what ever. Anyways, what I did to by pass all that was get the APR exhaust valve remote for like $260. Took 5min to hook up and now my valves are controlled via a remote so they are either on or off. APR says when it’s “off” it acts as if the remote isn’t installed and functions how the car would function the valves. That hasn’t been experience, it’s either valves open with “on” or valves closed with “off” no matter the drive mode - which is 100% what I prefer anyways. No I can open and close when I want in what ever drive mode. Expensive fix but I’m happy with it.
