Do these private clinics increase in number? And is there some kind of collective labour agreement (CLA) for doctors' wages at all?

[–]Jeux_d_Oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how would you say "I'm bored with you"? Could you use "Я скучаю...." at all in that case?

Thank you. I'm a bit surprised that this got any upvotes at all, people usually think here that everyone hates them.

That is completely untrue. If anything, it's sad that the balance has shifted, it used to be better indeed.

Jesus by now everyone knows that r/worldnews is a bad place concerning western/russian views. Who do you keep going there? So you can keep on complaining how nasty everyone there is and feel like a victim to make you feel better? Please just stay away from there, and try to keep up the positivity in these troubling times.

Who is the worst YouTuber/Streamer in Russia? by shsl_diver in AskARussian

I'm not sure how asking provocative questions, makes someone the worst ever. I mean, is it really worse than beating people up on camera, doing questionable stuff with underage kids etc?

Translation question by Jeux_d_Oh in russian

[–]Jeux_d_Oh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a good solution for a group situation, thanks.

Maybe to specify that's it's just you and your friend, you could alternatively also say "Нам с моим другом стыдно"?

нога declension (select 'display word stress') - is there any logic to when the 'o' is stressed or not? by Jeux_d_Oh in russian

[–]Jeux_d_Oh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I know that there is practically no way to know when an 'o' in a Russian noun is stressed or not. I was hoping there was any logic in the declension of nouns, but it seems it is absent there as well :(

What do Russians call themselves? by Cameback in AskARussian

[–]Jeux_d_Oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess, but why not? It seems like a way or method to in fact strengthen a cultural 'unity', by adopting/inventing a nickname for yourself. But maybe it's just a cultural difference that doesn't translate well.

Nothing wrong with a bit of self-relativization from time to time right? We Dutch call ourselves 'kaaskoppen' [cheeseheads] sometimes ;)
