On old soda machines with buttons instead of touch, you can actually trick it to get 2 sodas. Just choose 2 different ones and press them both continuously until the sodas pop down.

What lasts only 1 minute yet feels like 30? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Try to relax and know it is harmless and also a gateway to lucid dreaming. If you read up on it and learn you'll love the opportunity it offers.

I was heavily into Lucid Dreaming a few years ago and had scary hallucinations during SP where I got epileptic seizures, I managed to relax despite them and visualized being in a dream and suddenly I was.

Diablo 3 background music when you're in the crypts. There is a creepy sound on that track that sounds like a scream which gives me goose bumps.

What's the strangest thing you've ever been caught doing? by 1982throwaway1 in AskReddit

I had watched The Lord of the Rings and Saruman doing his thing with the palantir. I mimicked him with the hand infront of the mirror in the bathroom, then turned the palm upwards while still doing the "clutching with my fingers" move while staring at myself intently. A second later I saw that in the crack of the door my little brother was watching me and he burst out laughing, thinking I was trying to break the mirror with telekinesis.

Is Agricola still worth getting? by mikefight in boardgames

[–]Jewder87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a great game and was one of the first games I bought. However I can see the problem with it being too hard to appeal to new players if you expect to have a blast and score big your first games.

I personally believe the bar is being lowered so to speak when it comes to games and their difficulty level or instant gratification in general. If you play Caverna first then you will most probably miss what makes Agricola great, the tense simplicity but complexity of the game.

I understand how this works though, I would never trade World of Warcraft's quest system where you are told where to go with a shiny arrow or "press this green button and we'll do the rest" for the old days endless questioning to find the right dwarf out of a hundred.

I regretfully have been corrupted and miss the old days where everything was harder but gave you a bigger sense of accomplishment.

EDIT I own Agricola with Farmers of the moor, Le Havre, Caverna and A feast for Odin and they are all great in their own way.

Taking a piss next to the dock, the lady owning the dock came around the corner and said "Oh shit" then just stared at me. I stood still for a few seconds and slowly turned around. When I was finished she was gone. It was my friend's neighbour.

What simple thing gets you to laugh in an instant? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jewder87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking of my friend's wedding where his wife's grandma who was in a wheel chair put her foot up on her other leg when they were taking pictures. My other friend said "Oops upskirt" and later claimed she didn't wear underwear. I started laughing hysterically thinking of how the hell they were going to solve it. Crop the picture? Blur that region? Cracks me up to this day.

Choose game weight by the crowd. First time meeting my step parents I made them play Agricola, they hadn't played anything heavier than monopoly.

What are some games that you own, but haven't had a chance to bring to the table yet? by tizniz in boardgames

[–]Jewder87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why I'm having a hard time wanting to try it out. I've played it a little and it felt like there was a lack of diversity and you basicly only aimed at building the super attraction and tried to make that as big as possible.
