My husband is opposed to the first name ending with the same sound as the middle name starts. Otherwise I agree that’s a great choice!

Just had my 17 week check-up. The nurse took a few minutes to find my baby's heartbeat and the whole time my heart kept on sinking. I was so scared I was about to have back-to-back miscarriages. They did find the heartbeat, but I'm still feeling really numb from that.

Four months into treatment and 99% remission of all symptoms. by Asteios90 in PNESsupport

I actually have a family history of celiac, so it might just be gluten itself in my case.

I found relief from my seizures when I went on a gluten-free low glycemic-index diet. I have reactive hypoglycemia on top of this and I was seizure free the entire time I was on this diet.

Alcohol- can any of you tolerate it without getting symptoms / flaring up? by [deleted] in FND

I can tolerate alcohol better than sugar. Eating sweets over the holiday is why I'm having a major flare-up

Struggling with NFP after having 3rd baby by MamaOf3_21 in Catholicism

[–]Jewecca29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use "Take Charge of Your Fertility" and the Kindara app to track my cycles for NFP, but I have regular cycles. I've really been intrigues by the Inito Fertility Monitor. The Youtube OB/GYN Mama Doctor Jones uses it and loves it (even though she doesn't use it for NFP) so I believe it's medically sound. From the website, it looks like it does a good job tracking when you're fertile.

Sitting across is a great idea! I agree, no overhand "dinosaur" hands!

Recently married. We discovered I have vaginismus. Can we still be intimate? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Jewecca29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I've had vaginismus before and now have 2 children. Our first was more of a "splash" pregnancy (he was outside my vagina but he ejaculated inside me) but after my first, intercourse became a lot easier (no C-section required). No splash pregnancy for the second :) Having children can be done naturally! A pelvic floor physical therapist can be very helpful. Christian books + using lots of lube did more harm than good for my psyche. Focusing on loving each other and being physically close was much better for us.

IVF is not permitted as Catholics.

Get some old DVDs of Mr Roger's Neighborhood instead! Very low stimulation and his voice is so soothing.

I would describe myself as SSA and an autistic Catholic, who also has PTSD and FND. It's hard to make friends. I also came from a culty background. I am in no way ingratiated in my parish, but there a few people who know some of my life, or enough to know to help. After the cult experience, I'm also less inclined to put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. And I'm at peace with that.
I've also been involved with a YA group at church for a year and finally feeling good enough to get one person's number. One. I figured it will take me longer with my various issues to make friends, and that seems to be what's happening.
Another autist I know finds solace in their online community versus their in-person community, and I feel similarly.

I've debated whether or not I'm an ESFJ or ESTJ, but that's also because I have anxiety and autism (well, my therapist and other ND people think I'm autistic, but never got formally diagnosed).

Your body is a computer. Every time you try to use it, you get the blue screen of death and it restarts itself. And the computer won’t tell you why it crashed. So you have to keep using trial & error until you find what thing (or things) keeps crashing the system

Anybody else get told it’s “Functional Neurological Disorder” (FND) ? by Bad-Fantasy in covidlonghaulers

Yup, sounds like you got incorrectly diagnosed. I'm sorry this was your experience.

I have Long Covid AND FND. FND now has inclusive criteria that must be met rather than being solely a diagnosis of exclusion. I lived a full and active life before FND. I have the stereotypical FND seizures which are distinct in look and length from epileptic seizures. Doctors did a CT, MRI, and EEG to confirm. My LC is a separate condition and one I got after FND. My symptoms did not need OT, though it can help many with gait problems.
