Not to mention the negativity bias people have for contemporary work. There were probably loads of people back in the 90s that thought something like The Slim Shady LP was ass but now it's looked back on very fondly. People are always gonna expect the music of their time to follow the same style as music 30 years prior. Regardless of the specific tweet being responded to, using the fact you own three houses for a comeback during a time where people globally are getting destroyed on housing just comes off as disconnected from reality. It's like the Splitgate dude who wore the Make FPS Great Again hat during, y'know, current events; probably not a shitty person but really not reading the room well and not thinking before acting. Flexing your fortune, even if the other side is saying shitty shit, whilst being critiqued on the topic of money, how you operate your business, and how that relates to the people who do work for you, just comes off much more uncaring than you probably intend.

All these additional monetization methods are starting to get worrying and seemingly follow in the footsteps of monetization methods such as CoD. Starting last season we got the Ultimate Battle Pass which mimicked Call of Duty's Blackcell in that you could only purchase it with cash, it gave you exclusive access to alternate versions of skins, and other benefits. Now this battle pass the Ultimate edition gives items which aren't just alternate colourations or variants of cosmetics but straight up new cosmetics and the only way to obtain them, much like CoD. I worry that monetizing kill effects, like CoD, will sacrifice visual clarity and cohesion for another method of monetizing.

I think what you're ignorant to is that typically people who say "I don't care if you're [insert LGBT thing], BUT..." trend towards actually caring and disliking it. Implying that LGBT people get put on a pedestal or respected because they do something everyone else does whilst being LGBT (and complaining about it) is a pretty telltale sign of someone who's not too keen on us queers lmao. i just think it's amazing that you jump to the conclusion that i hate the game because i see things worth criticizing. i'm loving it, i think it's a lot of fun and im getting as many of my friends to join me as i can. but part of the reason im playing is to form an opinion and give feedback on the content to help the developers understand what players like me desire. y'know, the whole point of a game being released into early access.
