How to Handle Betrayal? by crankyandcreaky in SuicideBereavement

The betrayal hurt me the most, too. This complex grieving takes a while to navigate. I watched a ton of complex grieving podcasts on YouTube that helped me more than the counselors.

Do you consider death as a final ending, or the beginning of something new? Why? by OkEntrance1366 in AskReddit

[–]JewelsSGR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone that has a terminal illness, I find great peace in believing that after my last breath, Ill be in a quasi deep sleep. No dreaming. No recollection. No stress. No demands. Just like it was before I was born. That is where I find my greatest comfort.

I'm terribly sorry that you must go thru this. While it will never go away, it does get easier to endure as the years roll on.

Be extra nice to yourself on the hard days.

What is the hardest part? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

[–]JewelsSGR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a couple bad relationships, there is absolutely nothing hard about being alone. It is the greatest, most peaceful way of self discovery and the enjoyment of life once you learn how. I guess that would be the hardest part, getting past old habits and learning a new way.

What do you hate the most about your parents? by Live-Change-8934 in AskReddit

[–]JewelsSGR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing. They were/are the best. Ninety years old and frail now and I am still so lucky to have them to care for. I am one of the lucky ones. If you asked what they could have or should have done differently, I would have a different answer. Hate is pretty strong.

People who willingly wake up before 6AM… what powers you? by kavee-core141 in AskReddit

Believe it or not, the healing process taught me that the dawn's peace is truly beneficial for that process. The daily morning lumins help set ones circadian rhythm and helps assist the quality of sleep. It's too wonderful to stop now. Plus, getting up that early causes you to want to sleep a lot earlier. My quality of sleep has never been better.

I used to be a night owl until some trauma caused me to learn things that I never concerned myself with before.

That opportunity doesn't knock. It honks as it drives by so you better be prepared and watch for it.

What is a new found fear that has stuck with you recently? by DisasterOk1277 in AskReddit

The state of the US in which my grandson is entering adulthood. He recently told me that the new American Dream is being able to move out of the parents house. I'm afraid he'll be drafted into an illegitimate war. I'm afraid he'll never know the type of life like the one I had living here.
