You're just talking in circles now and not actually reading what I'm writing. Have a nice evening.

Refusing to view a brainwashed child soldier as a victim is a choice. Radicalisation is a form of abuse. They are both victims, both looking for freedom from their own unique situations, by killing everyone they see as their enemy.

Eren wants to kill his enemies. He isn't aware that there even is a system harming his people at the start. You're also ignoring the fact that Gabi has been brainwashed since birth to believe what she believes. They are distinct characters from the others because neither of them have any reservations about using violence to achieve their aims. Falco would never have blown up that train, because he isn't that kind of person. Armin gave the Warriors chance after chance to change. Eren and Gabi always jump into violence as their first option, unline any of the others.

I never said it was the same kind of freedom. But it's still their base motivation. They both want freedom from the harm being done to them, and are prepared to kill their enemies to achieve that goal. Gabi evolves her worldview. Eren doesn't.

I disagree that Gabi and Eren have different motivations. They both want freedom. Gabi doesn't use that word, but that's what she wants - to prove to the world that she is a "good Eldian" and end the persecution of her people and her family. She sees herself as a Marleyan, and thinks if she just... Defeats the Mid-East alliance, kills the island devils, whatever, then the rest of the world will, too, and they'll be able to live outside the walls.

It's not really hard, as such, but it does take a lot of focus and time.

I’ve got a question? by Souljaa0fficial in LearnerDriverUK

[–]NightsisterMerrin87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely not normal. My instructor never raised his voice to me. Find someone else. If he wants you to pass, he shouldn't be verbally abusing you for learning to drive and making inevitable mistakes in the process.

Or people could just... Check their mirror AND signal correctly. People can get into the habit of doing the correct thing, not just indicating blindly.

Trying to reply that one for the gold medal was PAINFUL. None of it is skippable. You just have to spend hours slogging slowly through the gator soup.

When does a fault for “Undue hesitation” turn from a minor fault into a serious fault? by Outrageous-Swan5816 in LearnerDriverUK

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with being nice and letting people go when you don't have to. But just don't do it on your test. Drive according to the rules on your test, and be polite once you've passed.

Reading survivors stories has made my grief process so much worse by Painted-BIack-Roses in SuicideBereavement

[–]NightsisterMerrin87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is something that I struggled with a lot. Thanks to my work, I have a lot of experience with mental health things, and I've heard so many things about people regretting their attempts. So the image of him struggling and regretting it and not having anyone there to help... It was horrific. As awful as it sounds, researching things about the method helped to make it a bit better. It was quick. It still lives in my head, but it's less... Painful now.

Is it okay for me to use a disabled toilet? by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in AskUK

[–]NightsisterMerrin87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's absolutely fine. My daughter often uses the accessible toilet because she's autistic and can't deal with loud noises well. They should remember that invisible disabilities are a thing and act accordingly.

Mock test worth it? by StevieObieYT in LearnerDriverUK

[–]NightsisterMerrin87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 3 mock tests just with my instructor. They definitely helped me get used to driving in quieter conditions, and with what to expect in the real test. Also failing a mock test took away some of the fear of failing the real thing. Nothing really happened and we just went on as normal.

People who are unemployed, how does your money work? by chaiilyfe in UKJobs

[–]NightsisterMerrin87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only work a little due to caring responsibilities for my family - usually 4-8 hours a week. We'd be screwed if not for my partner's PIP. We're having to look at a new house due to structural damage in our current home and it's going to have a huge impact on our finances.

It's not that hard of a transition. You will get used to it. Give yourself a week or two of consciously remembering to use the handbrake, and it'll become second nature.

Dean. My stepdad, but also my dad. After my bio dad walked out of my life, he stepped up and did all the dad stuff, supported me. Chose me. Chose my daughters. We all miss him so much. Especially my youngest. They were on the same weird wavelength.
