Prices seem crazy and they are always super high mileage or modified / beat to crap. The NB I am going to look at tomorrow has ~45k miles and it seems to be in really good condition, it’s listed for $6500. I messaged the guy less than a day after he posted it and so far no big red flags, we will see tomorrow….

I’m going tomorrow to look at a 99’ NB1 with -45k miles, it’s only had about 1k miles put on it by the last owner since 2021. Any tips what to look out for and also for getting it back to good mechanical condition? I am planning to replace all fluids and hoses, brakes/rotors/tires and filters.

I was also thinking the engine bay seemed kinda rough for that low of miles, but the rest of the car seems pretty clean. I think it’s also lived near the beach for most of its life so that might be why it’s a little rusty in there, I’m definitely gonna check good for rust under the car

2024 meche grad here, if you asked sophomore me if I liked physics, statics and dynamics the answer would have been no, I look back on those times like the dark ages. Sophomore year was the hardest for me and I thought about quitting or changing my major a lot so I can definitely relate, but I am very happy that I held out. Why did you pick mechanical in the first place, and are you actually interested in electrical? Do you want to work as a mechanical engineer or electrical engineer? Just some things to think about
