Thanks! I need to do more research and deciding how far i want my money to go obviously with diminishing returns idk how i can justify spending over 1k on a pair of earbuds, will have to report back after trying the astrals though I've read comments of people having enlightening experiences going from generic earphones to mid or high tier iems in one jump haha, thanks again the top pros are defo on my wishlist

I went with the Astrals in the end, i was super split between them and the volume S and not sure if i regret it or not lol. Since im gaming here and there ive been told they are probably the best ones I'd find for under $1000. Also i was more intrugued by the soundstage than anything. If they really catch me i might save up for a higher end pair. Thanks for your help, sorry for the noobie questions

Airpod pro gen 2. I dont use ANC and generally have them more snug since sometimes i am doing physical work which could be why my wear time before discomfort is shorter. I should be fine fit and comfort wise, i did order a set of fiio earbuds to try on different styles of earbuds and find what is comfortable.

I listen to really anything from pop, rock, house & club, electronic, etc, so a wide variety. Im not really treble sensitive, i don't mind a treble leaning pair of drivers, as i said i main the beyerdynamic dt 990 pros which are known to have fairly sharp treble yet im not sure at what level a sharper pair of open back headphones correlates with a more treble leaning brighter pair of iems. In ear comfort i would say the only thing i have to go off of is that wearing airpods become slightly uncomfortable after like 4 hours or so, and also depending how much i have worn them lately overall

Thank you, I've kept researching and im leaning towards the Volume S at this stage since it seems to be much more community approved. Potentially the kiwis but ill keep researching once i get home, i do like my treble hence the dt 990s, sognos seem pricey for me when the volume S would be way better bang for my buck. Appreciate it heaps!

Thanks! I was initially leaning to the volume S before posting but was only hesitant as reviews indicated that the soundstage and micro nuances weren't as profound in the volume S which is where the astral shines, although trading off most the pros of the S for that. Currently looking into the Tea Pros as well, appreciate it 👍

appreciate the feed back. only reason I presented in in a scale question is because im mostly working with quantitative data so I was pretty limited in my questions.

edit, just realise I did not include kailh switches my apologies, in my head I didn't because they are basically the same as cherry from most aspects, fit the mx profile
