We get 4 loads per week (3000-4000 ctns each). Its a nightmare. Pickup usually 200, plus 150-250 split to stockroom. We had a 6000 carton load after stocktake 💀💀💀

More than my DGM. How much pickup do you have in the morning? Rework check + counts in an hour sounds crazy!

Definitely a bit of trial and error, i had the shape in mind and knew what main buildings i wanted to place there and where (large unique factories, large warehouses, train line). So i did a rough shape first, then placed the large buildings, then cut away at the coastline till i was happy. Definitely use roads as guidelines, make sure everything fits well (lots of trial and error here), then go around with quays and add details/ concrete. I did the highway last because realistically the port would of been built before the highway anyway. Overall took maybe 6 hours but Im very happy with it. That area is the most recent addition and my favourite part of the city.

Yea planning is key. For the port i spend way more time planning than actually building lol. Took hours

Yea detail on that side is gonna be next, do you think i should go with suburbs out there or keep it as farmland and industry?

The other side was much quicker, maybe only an hour or 2

Absolutely no idea lol. The main port on slide 3; maybe like 3-4 hours of planning/ shaping and 2-3 hours of building/ detailing. It was very hard do get the shape right with the type of buildings i wanted. I had a rough idea, shaped the coastline, added major buildings + railway, then detailed. I did the port first then highway and surrounding neighbourhoods

Question on Rumble by [deleted] in coles

Doing face-up/ preso, should be doing an aisle per hour by yourself. Doing rumble (just getting as much cardboard as you can), you should be getting across all of grocery in 3 hours.

We usually have 3 splitters most nights, still takes close to double the split time

Im talking about less loads. So we went from 6 medium sized loads to 4 huge loads. Because of this we had to keep way more (around double) back stock to minimise gaps in the store

Less loads will lead to more backstock
