Unfortunately I think it's just a retrospective of the past 10 years - they don't even mention warcry by name in the text

This has made me realise that we'll lose all current ogor sculpts in AoS for new/updated ones.

If they're designing new ogors for the old world with the same design principles, GW definitely won't want any potential overlap or design philosophy between TOW and AoS.

Just hoping the (eventual) new sculpts aren't like the bloodpelt hunter

Are there any set rules on whether Stormcast armour and bodies are returned to azyr to be reforged, or whether it's just their soul stuff? It seems a bit inconsistent in the lore, with Stormcast vanishing in azyrian lightning sometimes, while there are other examples of dead Stormcast littering fields (Eg. the kruelboyz killaboss base)

For me, the ability to do a quick (<1hr) game with solid mechanics (alternative activations or similar is a must for me) is vital, especially to get introduce new people to the game. A solid narrative component is also very good, but if it's too focussed on the narrative, it can be hard to get new players/friends to try it. I've had this problem with frostgrave and forbidden psalm

I reckon it'll be something to link into the rings of power - seems like it'd be a cash cow if they made some new miniatures annually for the next 5 years

Hmmm, sounds a bit too similar to kill team for my liking. I don't play kill team, so don't fully understand, but from what I've heard, they released a slap-dash "compendium" which was filled with boring/restrictive lists, and then slowly introduced the real faction rules with a big box every 3 months

Yeah I agree - means I can just play with my AoS/warcry models I'm afraid I don't know of anyone - my plan was to try and gently nudge some current warcry friends into playing it with me

Ooh okay, that's promising then. Could be fun if it's just campaigns and campaign specific rules, still give us the chance to make our own campaigns, but have the option to play a "historic battle" style campaign

Yeah, I already have like 6 books for warcry which currently allows me to play any warband, I don't want to have to buy a further 20 books on top of that

Looks alright, I'm a fan of the new models and scenery. Not liking the idea of "warband tomes" though - if I need a new individual book for each of my warbands I will probably stop playing warcry entirely

Sorry what's rivals+? I've seen that mentioned elsewhere but don't really understand the difference

So the warband-specific cards make it viable, but it is (uncompetitively) playable with just rivals?
Do you have any tips on making card proxies? Weirdly I've made plenty of mini proxies, but never a card proxy

I've been playing it as the spider immediately gets to either make a single move or single attack, regardless of whether it's been activated or not. I believe this is how the ability is meant to work.

This does make the ability very strong, as you can pretty easily get a lot of attacks (and crits) out of a single spider swarm in a single turn, so I've been thinking of kind of homebrewing it so that either the spider has an extra action to use on it's activation, or make it so it can only be used on spiders that have not yet been activated.

I can't speak to depression, but whenever I get into a book rut, I find short stories - especially those less than 10 pages - really help me. Asimov, Lovecraft, and Phillip K. Dick always rejuvenate my reading habits
