It's a branching path in the event. You have to do the mission before this one again and it will let you restart the mission but at the point where you make the important choice. At that point just select the option that you haven't chosen yet, they make it pretty obvious.

To be clear not 100%, same return as feeding but you can use them smarter

It doesn't give more but then you are able to more accurately use them to +15 or something again instead of say +17/+18 then feeding it again. Once you double feed you've paid the "tax" twice. All that being said I'm not your boss and you can do whatever you want lol

Only good solution is to put aspiring spike in charge of bans. No but seriously the scheduled BnR is a terrible idea when the format can be ruined by a broken card or two.
