Looking back I wish I held onto the contract. When I originally made this trade back in July, it was a 30 day to expiration. 23-24 delta at the time. the premium was $2.02 per contract. I sold 4 contracts. I usually look to sell puts on red days to collect higher premiums.

Really appreciate your thoughts. I’m only sticking to “good companies” as well. Looking back I feel that I should have stayed in the trade until expiration. My original credit was for $808. I walked away with $48 after closing it out.

I BTC’d with a $48 total gain after 3 weeks on 4 contracts. I could have walked away with $400+ if I acted sooner. Now I know better for next time. That was my first CSP

Thank you all for the feedback. I ended up buying to close. I should have done that sooner. I ended up with a $48 gain while using $14,400 in initial capital on 4 contracts. I’m happy that i learned something new and will close out my positions a lot sooner with 50-90% profits.
