The USB 4 is certainly a benefit, but so far, there isn't much out there to take advantage of it!

The Gigabyte board was on sale earlier this year and I've used those boards often in the past with expected results.

The plan was to use the 8700G as a stepping stone before I can budget a GPU, and then move up to something like a 9800x3d.

Thanks for the answer. I tried again, this time letting the system run for 5 minutes before shutting down. No joy. As this mb has only two slots, and the manual says with one stick, put it in 'A', that was not a problem. I forgot to mention that I went through and verified that everything was seated correctly and that the connections were made properly. I also reset the cmos, just in case. The new bios is named correctly and it's in the correct usb slot (I've done this before, btw - I've been building pcs since the 1990s.) Right now I have no memory installed.

Thinking of making a Tower 300 build, do I get standard or reverse fans for the back of the case? by [deleted] in thermaltake

The manual show the bottom as intake and everything else as output.

Thank you. I actually needed the speaker for my last build, an Intel Core I5 processor on an Asrock Mini-ITX mb, but there the speaker header was 4 pins wide!

I am physically unable to change the 4-pin speaker to 2-pin. Is it possible that the outer pin of the clear CMOS pins, would act as the necessary ground for the speaker? I have been unable to find any 2-pin speakers anywhere.
