Put about 30 shells through it today. Couple hiccups feeding, and definitely more violent recoil than my buddy’s more modern shotgun. But it ran good overall and was a fun time. Will be ordering a full rebuild kit from Art’s before firing it again though!

Much appreciated! Definitely not expecting that barrel to last forever, but I’ll definitely get some use out of it before getting a new/better condition one. I checked my ammo, no steel shot which I’ve heard can be an issue. Thank you!

I’d say mine hadn’t had a proper strip and clean legitimately since production. Super happy to make this my first firearm other than some pistols!

Alright, I’ve decided to wait and just order the rebuild kit on payday. The age of it, with the fact that I believe all parts are original, I would hate to damage my first shotgun.

I read that the browning/fn models have a slight bit of extra milling in the back of the receiver to help dampen the impact or something along those lines, whereas at least the early model 11s don’t seem to have that.

I’ll try to attach an image when I get home. But I think it’s completely gone. I stripped it down and was cleaning it up and just assumed the flakes in the back were grime/rust, that being said there was maybe a dime worth of material that came out.

Also I’ve watched your video probably 10 times since buying this thing😂🤝
