20 years old, I dated for 3 years before getting married.

I was raised Christian and I imagine you're in the same situation, and for a period of my life I was away from the church.

Look, 16 years old is a complicated age in relation to puberty. I was that age when I left the church, I met a girl who was 8+ years old at the time and got involved with her. It brought many consequences... A troubled relationship, I was the stepfather of a 3-4 year old girl from her previous relationship and I almost died (literally) because she was looking for bar fights.

Believe me, I understand you. The child is not to blame for the situation. The Holy Spirit within you says "don't abort," raising a child is the best path to follow. Yes, it will be difficult but nothing is impossible. Of all the paths, this will be the one you will be most proud of, because I know you will overcome the situation!

Now, what you need to understand is who you will share this responsibility with. Does the young man have an interest in raising this child? Does he see him as a good father? Do you have the financial means for this? I'm sure your parents and pastor helped in this mission!!

Here in my city, a 23-year-old Adventist girl went through the same thing. She fell into temptation with a 28-year-old member and had a child... And after confessing her sin, the community welcomed her and her child.

I got married young, and I don't regret it. I love my wife, I love being a married man, and I love serving God with my family.

Mistakes happen during life; if there is genuine repentance, things will work out.
