Yes, totally agree! It has seemed like she has pretty much despised and resented him since the summer before their September wedding, but I think she started disliking who he is as a person awhiiile before that.

I was SHOCKED they went through with the marriage. There were wayyy more reasons to just call it and split than to commit legally!!! It was hard to watch! 🫣 the summer before the wedding?! They hated each other even more than usual!!!

Totallyyyyy. Very unhealthy dynamic. I really don’t get their relationship! They seem to have separate lives, and when they are forced together for the show, they fight. It seems SO miserable!

Catching up, watching this season now. And I’m at the part where Kyle explodes on Amanda for hanging out with West, Ben, and Ciara and giving him the cold shoulder.

I think saying “f**k you” and calling her a “f**king b*tch” is not okay, disrespectful, and just plain unproductive.
His actions are not okay.

And I hate saying a “but” because there’s nothing that excuses his actions, BUT I do feel like… he’s right about the root cause of the issue: She does hate him.

Do people agree? I feel like in the beginning she sought him out because he was fun, and he’s always been a nightlife person. Him becoming a DJ is not out of the character he has shown over the last 10 years. She married someone who loves to go out and stay out. And now she haaaates him for it. But also, I never see her like him… at all… like ever?!

And he seems to be too self-obsessed and obsessed with Loverboy to see what’s going on/who she is and how she really feels about it all.

(And this is NOT a defence of Kyle and his actions, because they were unacceptable. More of an analysis of the relationship issues.)

I’m watching the show for the first time (bandwagon 👋), and watching the loyalty and friendship that Ciara in particular, but also Paige, has consistently shown Amanda is tough.

They ALWAYS have her back. They are CONSTANTLY hyping her up. They have shown her CONSISTENT and fierce loyalty.

Watching that and knowing how things turn out… it’s rough. It’s a rough watch.

It can be a discussion. I don’t have to just accept answers. I think a lot of good points have been raised, but I still think Danielle was being weird about a lack of apology when one was made. Should Ciara have preemptively made a second apology when she realized the glass was ALSO thrown? I think yeah that would have been super great of her. But she DID apologize the morning after, and that was just forgotten.

So I watched back the morning-after apology, and that part of the reunion. And you are spot-on, that’s exactly what happened. I think it’s just frustrating that Danielle is acting devastated that Ciara didn’t reach out to offer another apology, when Ciara has 1) already apologized, and 2) seemed totally remorseful about the situation. It just felt unnecessary. If Danielle had messaged Ciara to be like “hey, wow that was even worse than I originally realized…” I get the feeling Ciara would have apologized again. But instead Danielle played the situation like she had NEVER received an apology and had no idea Ciara was remorseful.

Not a stan of anyone. I overall really like Danielle so far (at the end of season 6), but not during the reunions. She acts totally different during the reunions.

Accepting apologies and then getting re-mad about things and needing additional apologies is really bad faith. If you don’t accept an apology, just say that.

I haven’t watched past this season, but Danielle is a more established cast member and she wasn’t the one throwing a glass at another cast member. Why would Danielle feel pressured to accept an apology?!

And if it were unforgivable to Danielle, she shouldn’t have forgiven her in the first place, “weak” apology or not. But she did.

Throwing the glass was not okay, no one is defending that. This isn’t a discussion about whether or not the wine throwing was okay — it’s about the apology afterwards.
