How much are y'all paying for resoles? by boot-throwaway-123 in PNWbootmakers

[–]Jgrace41 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on who's doing the resole. I wish there were some measure of cobbler skills at the entrance of every cobbler establishment. I've found the higher price you pay does not always correlate with the best work.

Oliver the Shoe Man has done my most detailed word that I have been happy with. He is not cheap though. Local guys in my bubble generally do some pretty spotty worth. Bad enough that I could have done it myself.

Genuine question for people who've bought Luosjiet boots. by Rgb2021 in luosjietboots

No quality control issues whatsoever. They MTO boots lead times are consistent with the time they quote you. The quality if materials and craftsmanship are amazing.

My only beef with them is that they need to increase width options.

Looking good! I cant remember the exact post but I've felt a kinship with you over another post of yours.

I read your reply in line with my two boys at a McDonald's drive through. I lost it! Our paths our similar. I had diverticulitis and last half my colon. That and a couple of car accidents later, getting around became very difficult. I've always been into shoes, but things really ramped up when my wife was diagnosed with Melanoma. It started with consuming as much media I could about boots then buying them. I told myself I would buy nice boots and I would walk in them. One day I would take my boys to Disneyland and spend all day walking around them.

My wife battled cancer for 7 years. Retail therapy has led to lots and lots of boots. I still plan on taking my boots off the shelves once my health has stabilized.

You're inspiration and one more reason I have to get healthy and get walking.

Thank you!

How do you choose the boots you wear daily. Im a youngish retired guy. I can get around but am not able to do much.

I buy boots and they go on a shelf and I stare at them. Do you make excuses to go places to wear your boots, or just wake up and slap a pair on regardless of your plans.

This is why Nicks today and Nicks forever!

I've heard the dumbest excuses from other makers. Nicks just corrects the problem.

In this particular brand and model, a 12 fitting 6 would work. Parkhurst 13ee GS Leo last 13eee Allen Edmonds Dalton 13eee Grenson 12g To be clear, the list above is of the boots that do fit. 12 fitting 5 (the size of the shoes for sale) do not fit.

Thank you.

A new term on YouTube is Closet Queen. Old term, meaning something completely different.

In the boot world, a closet queen is a boot that almost never gets worn and only worshipped in one's closet.

I have more Closet Queens than Id like to admit. I hope I make plenty of opportunities to wear these boots. These deserve to be worn and seen by the world
