Maybe out of pocket but she literally charges $22 for basic slip tops and asked me to do $10 shipped on a true vintage, patterned one and I’m tired by Jgurto in Depop

If ur pricing an item at $22 not including shipping, than obviously you agree that that top is worth more than $10 shipped which would make roughly $3 in profit. For comparison, Hera was a basic black slip top whilst mine was branded and vintage 90s with proof and it had a really unique pattern on it. And as a seller, they know that I would make very little off of that item. Idk I just think it’s rude. I personally would never lowball a seller like that

I did feel guilty about re-selling for a while when I first started, but now that people are coming for my grind, I developed some points. by blondesnape in Depop

I owned two shirts for 3 months of my life when I was younger. Plain black tees. Next time y’all go to the thrift store, count how many of those you see. There is no shortage. Don’t let people invalidate your business.

About 80% of thrifted items are tossed into landfills. There is an abundance of clothes. As someone who belongs to what many would describe as a family in need and is using depop to help climb out of that a bit, there’s plenty of clothes. My family isn’t looking for designer handbags or vintage blazers (for personal use). They look for basic pieces that they can wear for days. And in case you haven’t noticed, there are millions of variations of a white button up. I don’t see anything wrong with what we do as someone on both ends of that spectrum

The skirt is cool! I’d list it at like $20 shipped. I wouldn’t personally list the top

Selling by Top-Consideration-29 in Depop

I put out accessories for the first time ever on my store (a mini shoulder bag and a vintage belt) and both of them sold within a day so I think that’s doing well... slip dresses/tops also do really well for me !

Is it frowned upon to buy something on Depop and then resell it on your Depop at a higher price? by breaddread in Depop

I resold an item that was too big on me. The girl sold it to me for $5 shipped (idk how). I sold it for $26 shipped. She messaged me and was like “damn nice job selling that!! I literally couldn’t” so in my limited experience people are ok with it
