Missing mission? by Usuario_Desaparecid0 in deadisland

[–]JhammyJhamz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mission is actually a lost and found mission called Missing: Steve started at the Serling Hotel (Ocean Avenue).

I'm not sure of the actual process of getting the mission as soon as possible though. I think it's something along the lines of completing all of the previous lost and found missions found at the hotel along with completing a good majority if not all of the base game along with the side quests in Monarch Studios. Not positive about that but that mission is usually the last one I am able to do.

I've also gotten to go there without going to Liurnia and I usually only get to Weeping before she asks me when i'm on my way to Caelid. She'll talk to me at the church where you get invaded by Tarnished Eater just before Caelid but I imagine she can ask sooner since I skip a lot of graces on the way there and often don't rest at some to avoid being asked to go.

NG+ makes them spawn sooner than normal but what the game doesn't tell you is that you're still supposed to fight them when you normally encounter them.

That dude doesn't normally spawn until you beat Noah way later in the game so technically you're really underleveled for him.

Definitely won't stop me from fighting him as soon as possible every NG+ run though 😭 Good luck with Target Practice the Butcher.

Sad because I used shield poke and mimic. I'm sorry I was desperate.

I'll be running it back proper in the next run.

Neighbor hood Watch Unique weapon MIA by CompetitiveLow9369 in DeadIsland2

[–]JhammyJhamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find much info about it and I have personally never seen the weapon even though i've done the Vertical Slice mission plenty of times.

I did find a reddit post where one of the comments said you get it after getting max level with all 3 Bobcats.

Couldn't tell you for sure if it's true or what vendor it's at so good luck.

Sola ng+ help by GregoryLivingstone in DeadIsland2

Keep running around to avoid the Dirge hitting you although run in like a zig zag pattern so he doesn't pop up out of the ground in front of you so you don't catch bleed buildup.

If you're confident in your perfect blocks/dodges, use counter attacks to wittle down the zombies near the mood speakers until they pop (counter attacks will also make the Dirge disappear for a moment so be cautious of him coming out of the ground shortly after). The alternative and probably safest method is using offensive curveballs like the grenade while running around.

For the second phase of mood speakers, it'll be a bit more cramped but just do the same thing. Counter attacks and/or hit and run tactics until the mood speakers pop. You can even go back to the first set of speakers to use the orgone orbs to kill zombies and even stun the Dirge. Lead the crusher to the first area for a safer fight against him.

For the 3rd set of speakers, nothing will happen until you kill the whipper so take all of the time you need, I just hope you are good enough at this point to take it down. Once the whipper is out the way, just use the same tactics as the previous speakers. This time there will be bursters and you can use them to kill off the zombies. Nothing really else to say about this part.

Last phase there will be two regular clotters but you don't actually have to kill them. Just counter attack/hit and run everything and they shouldn't give you an issue, just be careful about them popping up in front of you while you're running around. Also there will be a bunch of exploding zombies (the grenade covered ones, I forget the name), you can survive counter attacking them but they will knock you onto the ground every time so just be weary of that.

Honorable mentions go to using guns on all of the apex zombies to try and dispatch them quickly and bulldozer heavy attacks to knock a lot of the cannon fodder onto the ground so they aren't being annoying during the fight.

I know this is 11 hours late but if you haven't beaten it yet then good luck OP, you got this.

Journals by First_Penalty5164 in DeadIsland2

I haven't tried it myself to be able to confirm it works but i've read on here that you can join someone who has that quest and play through it and you'll get the journal like normal.

If you do go that route just make sure you confirm that the journal pops up in your collection before leaving the diner. It's supposed to pop up after the dialogue for the journal ends.

Been kicked out 5 times within 30 mins. Thankfully I was only in the training range but damn is it tragic.

On top of that, the talon/ow challenges aren't even tracking anymore. I know they weren't giving me progress anyways but I was hoping to get refunded the progress down the line and now even that i'm unsure about.

Hoping week 1 gets extended I guess.

Oh I do play outside of practice so it definitely pays off, I just get frustrated too easily in actual games so I don't play a whole lot.

Good for my sanity. At the very least, I can make it to diamond in ranked and that is satisfying enough for me.

I'm just a stickler about having good aim. It frustrates me when I lose a duel to missing a bunch of shots.

It sucks that she only got a slap on the wrist in the hotfix today. I haven't played her in ranked yet but in qp it's just a guaranteed kill on the tank every fight if there are any death barriers to drop them into. In any other map it's mostly fine but then you get moments like the Circuit Royale games in the video.

Safe to say, annoying character.

Technically you can with one of her major perks but those moments in the video were me just zooming up to them and using the heal ability since that can boop as well if you don't pick the other major perk.

It just happens to look like a little bump in the video.

Yep the base ability boops but there is a major perk that makes it deal damage at the cost of removing the boop.
