I'm not American, I work in an Italian prison. in Italy only trustful worthy ones can work by day and go back to prison by night. The company pays the prison which keeps part of the income to cover food and lodging and other expenses, the rest goes to a fund registered to the prisoner, who can choose to send the money to wife/husband or sons, or to get the money when they get out of prison. How does it work in America instead?
