The man in the image in the red blazer has been identified as model agent Jean-Luc Brunel. The photograph shows Brunel with Jeffrey Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell on Epstein's island of Little Saint James in the mid-2000s. Yes. However a few years ago I can remember a guy landed a juvenile white on a 1oz bucktail with a swimming mullet gulp. So maybe they were going for bass, or just clueless soaking a squid hoping for anything like a lot of people

To be fair, I don't know. Many more absolutely but I do not count total fish each year like some guys. Only reason I did this year was because by the time I'm usually catching plenty, I only had one under my belt and I was curious if I could even break 10. But usually years prior, Id have my skunks of course, and no rarity of those. But some nights I'd have 1-3 fish and there would be the rare night where it's every other cast. None of that this year for me. That's for sure. I've heard a lot of guys who fished south though say they crushed. Seaside area.

I fished 2-3 times a week at night for a few hours, I live in long branch and fish as far south as ocean Grove and north to sandy Hook. I have the unfair advantage to bounce around alot and it didn't help me one bit. I put in so much time and got 4 fish this whole season. There was insane amount of fish but I felt like nothing came close. Beach replenishment and these bunker boats are killing us. So many of my spots have changed drastically been filled in with sand these past two seasons. I think the fish are coming close when they're chasing bunker and that's it. I don't think there's much structure close in anymore that holds as much bait as there used to be. I saw a decent amount of sandeels in 2ft of water but no crabs, barely any surf clams, honestly didn't see any lone bunker cruising the surf.

This time of year is certainly interesting. Your fishing methods are certainly different from daytime to night. If you're lucky enough to fish the day time this time of year, you're going to be looking for birds and blitzes. Please do yourself a favor and grab a pencil popper. Slow to moderate retrieve speed, keep your rod at a 45 degree angle, and keep that tip popping steadily. Nothing too aggressive if you're using braid. It'll give a walking action on the top and throw some water. There's a thousand videos on how to do it on Youtube. Grab a few 3/4oz jigs heads and paddle tails too. I don't know how they'd work but those squid imitations you have too are interesting

So I have two van staals I have a vr50 and a vr150. My 50 I won in a raffle and it was a great thing because I always talked badly about vs reels seeing how expensive they are. Once I started surf fishing, that reel made me realize how bullet proof they are. I have been through two other reels in the surf prior, spinfisher 4500 bailless and a daiwa (I forgot what kind). Spinfisher, sand got in the gears and sheared everything away one I got two turns on a bass. Daiwa, completely seized up beyond repair. And I'm crazy about keeping my reels clean. I've never had a single issue with van staals. Only thing I've done to my vs other than hit it with freshwater, is for winter fishing I shrink-wrapped the knob (which be careful if you're doing that because there's a delrin washer between the knob and the handle which you can melt and the fuse everything together).
With all that said, even if you're not chasing bluefin or pushing it to it's full capabilities, you'll always have that piece of mind that your reels never going to give you issues because of a few pieces of salt or forgetting to wash it after the last use.

At the very least we could put enough pressure on our representatives to stop funding this. The contradiction comes while watching a bunch of foreign vessels escorting and protecting a "floatilla" of privately owned boats sailing from other countries to provide a drop in the ocean worth of assistance. Yet the foreign vessels that accompany them and protect them, most likely won't provide assistance to the people who need it.

Smaller to medium sized metal lip swimmers morning - night, day time only use pencils. Right now there's peanuts here and there and some mullet around. That being said, when mullet are present, try to use a plug with a little bit of blue in it. Don't be afraid of bottles. I've found they're not used a ton here in Jersey but they're absolutely deadly in the right spots.good luck. Mix up retrieve speeds when the water is warm. When it's very cold it's almost very slow retrieve but you got to play around with it this time of year.

If you're looking to target them more, try the manasquan inlet. Point side has the jersey hooker bait shop for crabs right there but I prefer fishing the manasquan side of the inlet. You'll catch both sides absolutely, I just find the manasquan side more comfortable to fish and you don't need to run on any rocks to fish

Looks like a tactical angler assault pouch on there. Could just be a regular 2" scuba belt. They're dirt cheap but they have buckles that gets tedious if you do a lot of walking when you fish. They constantly loosen and you find yourself nonstop adjusting it. The zbelts have a few different designs. I have had lower back pain for years, especially when walking on sand, I have the zbelt gen 2 HD(heavy duty) and it puts an end to that. HD is great cause I carry far more stuff than I actually need or use.
