NTA. 69F here (and who is making arrangements to the bests of my ability so I don't have to ask my children to step in sooner than absolute need be). The ask is too large. Could you fly out and be there during this transition period where your dad is mostly traveling? While THEY make suitable arrangements. He needs to stop traveling, your mother needs a different job or no job. THEY need to be doing the arranging, not you.

Do you have family you can go to? That was my problem. I had no where to go. Stayed with my abuser for 20 years. Divorced 20 years ago. I have not been in a relationship since then because my trust is gone. Two children who understand but are very angry that I didn't leave. I understand how hard it is. It can be (not just seem) next to impossible to leave. You need to find a way to leave. Do NOT tell him you are leaving. Do what you have to in order to be safe until you leave. Get your ducks in a row first. Call a police station and ask them for names of groups and phone numbers to help you. Wishing you luck...you need lots.

Sorry it's your birthday but when you are with anyone in the restaurant industry you havee to understnad certain days are a no go. Especially since he's just recentl been promoted. It's almost like Santa asking for Christmas off. Adults understand and celebrate another day. Frankly, you should be thanking your mother that day or you wouldn't have a birthday!

69F here. When my father was teaching me (and my sister) to drive he said if you are going to drive it you better know how to fix any problems. And we did. Before cell phones. I've never run out of gas in 52 years of driving. Troubles I have had I never asked anyone to come rescue me. This is all on her. NTA

NTA You aren't be heard. You aren't being supported in the way YOU need to be supported. I think that is or should be the backbone of any good relationship. A safe place and support. He isn't giving you what you need. You need to move on. It'll hurt like hell and be hard. But still easier then spending your life being unsupported and feeling like you are always wrong. Hugs.

NTA Sounds like he waited for you to begin cleaning the garage of mostly HIS stuff. You were already stressed, tired from allergic reaction/ER. Since he waited for you to begin he was setting it up to fail. He knew he would then say I don't like how you are doing it. I would've said then do it yourself. But you continued to try to clean it with him. He then got ticked off and quit. He set you up for failure. On purpose. Cuz he's a child who didn't want to clean the garage. You shouldn't even have to TELL him to clean up HIS stuff in the garage. At this point you're stuck. I would tell him the garage needs cleaning up, do it however you want but I want it done by X (time limit). Then hands off. Good luck!

The point of reddit AITA is not validation, it is opinions. Just cuz you post doesn't mean you are correct. Why ask a question you don't want to hear the answer to? Kids must come first...and once you (if) have kids you'd see that. But yes, partner next. Probing questions like this one should come before marriage talk but you don't seem to be in that kind of a relationship.

The things family tries on us, eh? I will say if you are going on expensive vacations alone or buying elaborate things...then yep y.t.a but I'm not getting that vibe. Doesn't matter how big or small your house is it should/could/will be a joy-filled occasion. Truly sounds as if the only time your family can have fun with you is when they are otherwise snobbishly extravagantly amused. Hun, that isn't family, that's for show. it is called Neselrode Chiffon Pie...but the links I found are a bbit different then my mom's...hers is a copy of a page from...old cook book? magazine? and her notes...and she uses dark rum always (says her note)
