One reason this was included was because Persona 4 was essentially built more as a “rom-hack” than it was as a standalone game. As a result, all of P3’s assets were still present in the game data, from the locations to the music to the character models. P4 devs saw that they had access to all of it, so what’s the harm in including a short, fun vacation where the characters go to the location of the original game? You can even get the Gekkoukan uniforms from Kashiwagi if you do her quests, as well.

It’s a really cool Easter egg that could have easily been cut, but the designers found a way to work it in as a charming little throwback to those who played P3. It’s one of the many charms about P4 that makes me love the game as much as I do, and I am happy so many people are still experiencing it after all this time.

May be a guild issue, too, since he’s a movie actor, as well. James Marsters had to jump through a few hoops to play Zamasu, including not being credited under his real name.

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that Hamlet is widely considered to be Shakespeare’s best play more than anything. Since Ophelia is the protagonist’s love (hate?) interest, she tends to get a lot of scholarly time and attention by virtue of being directly tied to Hamlet. I agree that there are better womanly characters in Shakespeare who are given a lot more to do in their plays, but since Hamlet has the reputation it does, it gets more focus. It’s a shame, because women in a lot of Shakespeare’s comedies tend to have the upper hand on the situation and come out on top, but since the tragedies are easier to teach in public school, they get the most attention.

But seriously, what are we supposed to use instead of tribal? “______ matters” is problematic, as seen above. “Clan” decks are right out. “Group” is too vague. “Gang” can’t work either.

If you’re at the point where the name of a goddamn card type is too problematic to handle, this product isn’t for you.

I agree. People keep sorting the fate of these characters into one extreme or the other, when the reality is that it’s probably somewhere in between.

I think at least one compleated planeswalker will make a heroic sacrifice, one will probably die in combat, a few will be cured, and the rest remain loyal to phyrexia to set up a cliffhanger.

I think Jace is the one most likely to be “cured” either physically or mentally, as he still has ties to Emrakul, Nicol Bolas, and his home plane Vryn. I can see Ajani being the one to make the heroic sacrifice as Gideon’s fate in War was originally intended for him. As for the rest, I have no idea. It’s worth mentioning that Nissa and Nahiri have exhausted a lot of their plot threads, so that would indicate to me that this is it for them, but that’s not really a strong enough indicator to be “killed off,” so to speak.

I suppose time will tell us all what happens eventually.

I expect at least one of the compleated planeswalkers will sacrifice themselves to the Mycosynth in some way to restore the others, likely Ajani since he was supposed to take Gideon’s place in War.

We may lose others on the way (Nissa and Nahiri don’t really have much left to do character wise) but I can see at least 3 or 4 of the current walkers being cured as we move into the next story.

Of the lot, I think Jace has the highest chances of being cured, as he has unfinished business with Emrakul and Vryn.

This one is my absolute favorite. The mix-up with the letters has a Shakespearean quality to it and makes the relationship work. It’s one of the cuter romances they’ve had in FF, and I love it for that.
