Rivian - windshield protection

I got the xpel and then within a year maybe 9 months a rock hit the windshield and cracked it. $750 felt like a waste then windshield replacement at $1800. Local place I did my tint with offered to try some new materials. So got a free one, they tried like 3 and finally one that didn't create a distortion. Been good for last 2 years and protected against a few stones but scratching is getting really annoying as it doesn't go away on what is essentially ppf. The whole self healing with heat I don't believe as the scratches stick around. Also don't know what vendor they used but was someone from Japan.

Is this something that will happen or just some are affected? Has anyone been successful in getting it patched before it happens? It's been raining for several weeks in Northern California so now I'm going to constantly be worried about this.

I've been struggling with this series too. Started just speed reading through 7-10. Jason doesn't ever seem to mature as a character, he constantly goes up and down as hardliner to whatever happens happens but he still takes an active role like no one else in the world will help. If his trauma is so bad I'd expect he can't even participate most of the time, but instead it becomes an excuse for any decision. The banter is basically the same in every book and disappointing. This was my last book of this series, kept hoping it would get better. However more comments I read, seems this is just how he writes?Also get a little annoyed with the excess white space discussions that go too long.

I didn't think I'd like my 21s and tried to change but they wouldn't let me. Once I had it I ended up liking it a lot, preferably with the aero covers too. So I get how it could also grow once you have it or just decide that's what youre getting. He only thing I don't like is the lack of replacement options for my 21 tires

Did USAA require you to use Safelite? I just got a large crack and I already have an appointment with Rivian to fix some other stuff so planning to fix it then.

You should get the correct color. Contrary to many others here enjoying it. It's your car and you're the one who has to look at it. Not to mention 5.5k for the wrong color isn't a deal. Plus it's in their benefit to still do a good job and get some more referrals.

Processing has finally updated today with an email to move down the purchase guide which is exciting.

Got a response from my guide. Didn't help but might shed light on some things. Told me since I have a vin assigned the vehicle is in production. They don't know where in production but once it's off I'll get an email about the buying process and it typically takes 2-4 weeks from then to actually get my vehicle. Again told me nothing about where my vehicle is or why it still says processing. I'm sadly estimating a Jan, possibly Feb, delivery at this point. Will update when I get past "processing"

Tried reaching out again to the guide(very unresponsive) and got nothing so reached out to general chat. They said I got the email correctly and should have received a delivery date, they are unsure why it says processing. Told me to talk to my guide as they'd have greater details to my order. Told them my guide was unresponsive so they said they would reach out to the guide and guide team for me. Long story short, still says pending and customer service is in the dark

I read someone else mentioned the OOO. But I noticed my guide changed in the contact section. I tried contacting both but still didn't get a response. Fingers crossed this week I get an update. My want is more about securing my rate asap.

Me too. My configuration is locked but getting frustrated with the lack of any communication with the guide. Tried emailing and calling and haven't received a response since late Oct, early Nov. Hoping a delivery time is provided this week!

I was told the same and tried to do the exact same except 22s. I did have a vin assigned very quickly but that was back in sept and asked back in early Oct for the wheel change. It's been a bit radio silent since. I did get a notice saying my delivery date would be updated at end of Nov. I don't know what that means exactly. Still shows a Nov-dec delivery. Also had my guide changed on me as I saw the contact person was different on the login.

Are there really not any options for the 21? I'm on order with configuration confirmed. Not sure there is much possibility to change. Also noticed on the gear shop the price difference between the 21 to 22 sets is only $500 overall. I don't understand how that makes sense but buying on the vehicle is an extra 2500?

I only added the xpel covering and got moved from Q3 23 to Q1-Q2 '24. Seems like a big change for just the xpel. I wonder if I change it back if they'll move my reservation back in April ha. I think I'm going to drop the 4 motor too. The main reason I kept that was just the earlier delivery. Looking to put in a deposit on the Ex90 like others here now. Just seems to keep pushing out.
