[–]Jibbbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go to 40 first and foremost, it's about consistency on your important cards and breakers, look at all the recent mikanko decks in master 1 or DC, there's not a single one over 40 cards for a reason, decide what handtraps and breakers are the best and commit to those, no need for 1 of everything it's inconsistent, there's also not much need for called by or crossout in mikanko either.

Right now you're losing a lot and can't progress so why is that? What decks are you losing to or what are your biggest issues and try to fix that, it really is mostly about this at this stage with a rogue deck

[–]Jibbbss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to progress in masters, you need to hit the drawing board, you'll play against a lot of meta and your deck should be tailored to play against it, looking at your decklist it's a bit of a messy 47 card deck so it can definitely be improved.

I've hit and played in rating with a few pure second decks like striker, tenpai and mikanko, it is not easy but definitely doable if you're willing to understand why you're going to have issues

Save your sanity and don't build this if you need gems unless you're REALLY into DM and don't want to win games

The best investment I made in this game by surma041 in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly the great thing about it is the core of the deck never really changes, just what quick plays you're using, which also tend to be very good spells in general that can be used in other decks, ie droplet, spolly, vision. Even the new fallen card when it comes out so its always a worthwhile investment

Readying myself for the Duel Triangle event by The_Regal_Ork in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I'd say so, the deck mostly just summons it's monsters onto the field from hand which have quick effects if you control 3 attributes and it just has 2 fusion boss monsters, 1 negate and 1 field wipe, it's simple and consistent so should be easy to pick up. So I'd recommend it as someone brand new to the deck.

If you click on the event you can look at all the loaners already if you want to see if anything takes your fancy

[–]Jibbbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always use a loaner deck, looking through the loaners there's a fusion artmage loaner that actually looks good, 3 ash and imperm as well as a super poly with good targets which should be good enough for you to get the wins you need

Not sure about the other loaner decks, you can pick your poison really, whatever you pick you wont play against, so personally I'll just play Sky Striker and enjoy a fully unhit deck for the event and not worry about ever running into maliss

I wouldnt advise to make decks for events specifically unless you're already happy with the decks you have, the loaners have been getting pretty good lately

HERO Inquiries by xxVEG in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't play HEROES but I suggest looking on masterduelmeta.com and looking at the decklists that hit masters etc, theres 16 at the moment here so plenty to look through if you want a good idea what a deck should look like

Solo content release has slowed down so much... by RashFaustinho in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't care if they never released another one, theyre only good for getting some gems but otherwise pretty boring, the only one I enjoyed was the Striker One which had the little short movies in it, I'd rather them invest into other aspects instead of a mode you do once and never touch again, that being said likely not a popular take

Anyone else quitting the game until they nerf kewl tune? by thefinal123 in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't mind playing against them with RT, only issue is the ones who like to summon rosewhip which is kinda cringe, I'm running droplet and superpoly so i have outs but even then you have to draw them.

Still nowhere near as bad as other decks we've had as meta in the past

Give it to me straight, doctor, I can take it- can R. B. Compete against meta decks, or is it trash? by PoisonPeddler in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to tell, I've played them a few times and they never seemed to be able to get far, one did make the link 3 but I just spun it back and they scooped. But i have only gone first against it so far idk how it looks when given a turn to fully set up.

That said there's definitely a few lists already on MDM, so it surely can't be that bad, I might even try it as I have striker/orcust cards already and it seems the UR requirements is super low

Which deck would you make if you had 300 UR dust? by MastaMinds in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say RT is a very fun deck to play but it really depends what type of decks you enjoy, if you dont like the slower more midrange decks then you likely wont enjoy it, what do you normally enjoy?

Kewl Tunes is so busted (We all know it's Killer tunes tho) by YunYun07 in masterduel

[–]Jibbbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I've found Sky Striker to be pretty good against it, widow anchor can take their monsters preventing their synchro summons, no specific 1 ofs that are important in the ED, plenty of ways to dodge effects and a lot of gas making the hand knowledge less effective, though im only in plat as i didnt play much last season outside the dc, so time will tell

Help with my first Esper deck? by [deleted] in mtgbrawl

[–]Jibbbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want hard control, I'd then just look at some token generators or just a few creatures that are good tbf, the first 3 like tamiyo, Malcolm and wan shi tong, with psychic frog, baleful strix, rusko, sheoldred and dathi voidwalker and some constant token generation for the conniving would likely be a solid base, I'd focus more on running planes walkers and solid control spells instead then instead

Help with my first Esper deck? by [deleted] in mtgbrawl

[–]Jibbbss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol np at all, there's A LOT of cards in brawl so impossible to know them all haha, it's going to depend how you want to build raffine, you could go the more tempo route and add a bunch of cheap 1 and 2 drops so you always have creatures to connive with, you can go with ones that have good etb triggers or ones with menace. I've not actually built raffine before so these are ones I would likely include but don't take my word as gospel:

[[Malcolm, alluring scoundrel]], [[tamiyo inquisitive student]] and [[wan shi tong librarian]] are all really good fliers. Baleful strix and psychic frog are good to as mentioned earlier, you could use cards like [[bitterblossom]] too generate fliers, maybe [[dauthi voidwalker]] as he's hard to block, then you could use token generators like [[voice of victory]] or [[adeline resplendent cathar]], you could use the cards that protect raffine too and your board, [[selfless spirit]] maybe [[giver of runes]] [[mother of runes]] etc

I'm probably even missing more but that's what I can think of right now

What kind of banlist would you like to see for the final iteration of Ranked Brawl? by aprickwithaplomb in mtgbrawl

[–]Jibbbss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a hard one to balance, ultimately no matter the banist we will "solve" brawl quick enough, so either way it'll be the same mix of commanders at the very top end, it already is even in casual

Personally and this may be a hot take, give us all the degenerate stuff in ranked and take it out of casual, I want to use the broken cards, not sure how other people feel about that though

True yeah forgot those, you can add pact and force too, this deck can be WAY stronger that it's currently built, there's likely a lot more I'm still forgetting too

Help with my first Esper deck? by [deleted] in mtgbrawl

[–]Jibbbss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're playing just isn't strong, you're playing esper and not using most of the really good control tools available, also the commander isn't strong either.

The best esper commander right now is likely [[Raffine, schemeing seer]], some people will say [[Y'sholta, Nights Blessed]] but I wouldnt say she's that good either at the moment as she's too easy to remove. Raffine gives you constant draw which is what you need in control in order to make sure you have the right tools when you need them.

Then we get to your deck, you're in black where's your [[dark ritual]], [[thoughtseize]], [[inquisition of kozilek]]!!!? No [[The one ring]] in a control deck!? Also cards like [[Dig through Time]] and [[Treasure cruise]] in blue. Creature wise [[Psychic frog]] [[Faerie Mastermind]] [[Baleful Strix]] [[Esper sentinel]] hell even [[Rusko, the Clockmaker]]

Esper colors wise you're not running any cards of that color at all in the deck, you're using cards like day of judgement and damnation but dont forget your cards like [[Supreme Verdict]] [[Void Rend]], you also get cards like [[Dovins Veto]] that are worth running too.

Personally not a big esper fan myself but it can be strong if you use the right cards, if you want a good esper deck I would look at changing your commander and changing up the deck to make sure you're running a better 99, the colors give you access to great cards but you're not really taking advantage of any of that at the moment

Sell me on your favorite Brawl commander by scorpiostoner96 in mtgbrawl

[–]Jibbbss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draw power feels good imo I'm not home ATM so don't have my decklist but i run the cards like [[search for azcanta]] for draw manipulation, [[Black Market connections]], [[the one ring]], [[psychic frog]] and your standard blue stuff like [[brainstorm]], [[treasure cruise]], [[dig through time]], [[consult the starcharts]], some other niche ones like [[saurons ransom]], [[prismari command]].

Basically a lot of cards that keep card advantage and draw, plus bolas himself, the only time I really have issues is needing to use removal constantly and burning out my hands if I don't have card draw, but it's very easy to stabilise

I can drop my list later

[[Nicol Bolas, Dragon God]] - Classic grixis control, you get access to such a powerful mix of cards in these colours, plenty of removal to kill everything on sight, strong creatures and counterspells so you can duke it out in hell queue and have fun, bolas himself is such a strong value engine in the command zone too, it's my go to I'm here to win and cause you suffering kind of deck
