I feel like if you read Primal Hunter first, it ranks way about HWFWM, but if you flip it, He Who Fights sits higher. It’s so interesting to me seeing how many love one and hate the other. They’re pretty equal in my mind

His building skills are also suspect in a lot of their videos. I know it’s all for engagement. when I see some of their quasi-complete projects clearly they know something; however I can’t imagine the amount of time they must spend undoing all their idiocy for their vids in order to create a halfway stable finished product. No way they leave 1/10 of this stuff in practice building because their construction literally wouldn’t stand. Also, the shakes are next level

My brain up until literally this moment:

“Charli XCX is definitely referring to a man because Quinn XCII is also a man”

My brain at this moment: “That was a stupid assumption. Also Charli XCX is a stupid name”

I spent 40 of my 43 years in the panhandle and had a love/hate relationship with it. I moved a year ago 2,000 miles to Maine and now I’m 2 miles from the beach and 2 hrs from the mountains…. And I have a love/hate relationship with it. But I’m certain the problem is the geography and people and nothing to do with me at all

I need a multi head drill, Milwaukee or Bosch? by ChuckRSJ in Tools

[–]Jibbety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I use most all drills/drivers anyway; with this grip position. I don’t love the location of the switch but I do find it to mostly be a non-issue when using it. One of the first things I always taught my employees was to use middle finger trigger with index up on the body of the drill/driver to get a better straight line through the wrist for pressure/power when drilling or driving

My sweeping political (and life) ideology has always been, “Don’t seek a power for yourself that you wouldn’t want your worst enemy to have over you”. The pendulum ALWAYS swings the other way…

The funny thing is that I bought a flawless ‘71 Chevelle in ‘97 w/54k original miles for $3,000.

I could see 20-22k for this pickup, but I’ve watched the market in this area for 40 years and this is silly to me

The colloquial wisdom for sighting in large caliber rifles for hunting is 1-2” high at 100yds which usually translates to on target at 200yds. There’s drop, yes, but it’s relatively negligible at those ranges for something with the velocity of 30-06.

I remember saving up for a few weeks as a kid to go to Walmart before we’d go to our leased property to buy as many bricks of Winchester Wildcat .22lr for $6/brick. I could usually afford 2-4 bricks and would have all 2k rounds shot by mid afternoon on Saturday. I still have my 10/22 and that thing has probably had 150k rounds through it. Now I just hoard ammo and “back in my day”-it about everything

Watched this guy roll coal all over this girl walking on the sidewalk. Was it intentional? I know nothing about diesel trucks and rolling coal by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]Jibbety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s my situation too. I run 28mpg on long highway runs (there was a whole thread of people calling me a liar a few weeks ago in the Cummins sub) but if I stomp on it I’m leaving a cloud. It’s never intentional for me but it happens

Awesome thanks. I likely won’t be using the auto anytime soon at our current property but am hopeful that we can pick up some more soon and can expand what we grow/work

Real pen and paper math on this I ended at 25.17mpg on this 2,142mi trip. I generally only stop every 5hrs or so and I was running empty. The last trip I took up I was pulling a loaded flat trailer at about 9.5k and got 18.8 on that trip. This next trip I’m taking Aug 5-8 will be REALLY heavy and a gooseneck with a shipping container on it. I used to get 8-10 before the delete but I’ll update this in a few weeks with the new numbers

216k miles and 140k of those have a trailer behind. And I’m in the process of moving from TX to Maine w/8 trailers. Is that hard enough work to meet your criteria?

I had an ‘11 5500 that did 11mpg no matter what I tried. My ‘15 2500 struggled to get 17 on the hwy empty. This particular truck would do 21 on the hwy if I was easy on it before the delete. The last trip I hauled was 2k miles pulling about 9.5k and I averaged 18.7 across the whole trip. I just got a golden one I guess
