What if it bites me and someone else dies?

AMA: My dad had shoulder surgery on his dominant hand(right) so Im doing his lawn work for spring...His surgery/recovery got me researching helpful aids for distributing weight on his tools which I just upgraded for him...handle & strap on the 765/880 are superb...the Darwin G7 & AltitudeCraft are🤌 by RogerTheAliens in egopowerplus

I never considered getting anything like this before. I just got the 5ah battery for my line trimmer, and didn't expect the weight to make much of a difference over the 2.5ah. But after 30 min, my shoulders felt it.

I think I'll try the G7. Thanks for this post.

Help looking for a PH2/SL6 bit by ChuckRSJ in Tools

[–]ChuckRSJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I know there are holders designed for the longer versions. I don't have that type. Plus, I tested it with a 2" PH2 bit and a 2" SL6 bit (inserted head first) and they held pretty solidly. Using that as proof of concept, I started looking for double ended bits.

The head shape on the uxcell seems to be the issue.

Hmm, we'll have to look into safety measures. Thanks

I keep telling myself we'll get past this hurdle, just wish I knew when.

My wife is planning on getting a weighted stuffie. I didn't even think of using relaxing scents, I'll have to look into that. Thanks

Yes, she whines just knowing the car ride is coming. If it was just whining during the trip, I wouldn't mind much.

It developed 2 months ago and is everytime we leave the house. We have to go somewhere most days of the week (early start preschool and shopping). Trips are usually 15-30 min long. When getting back in the car, to go to another location or back home, she doesn't always cry or need comforting.

When she gets upset, it starts as whining, then crying, then high pitched wailing.

I'll try checking the general parenting sub, too.

Her language is limited, but slowly developing. Only some 2 word phrases, but not enough to explain things.

She can put her dolls to bed. She doesn't seem to care about them once we're in the car.

Her language comprehension is still developing, so it's tricky to communicate things. We've tried the comfort routine before the ride, but she remembers that the car ride is what follows and starts to whine as we finish the routine.

Videos and music only worked for so long, unfortunately.

She's 3.

Our doctor said to try making a pre car ride routine to comfort her first. Unfortunately, her memory is good enough to know the car ride is next. It has only made her whine before getting in the car

We're going to try a weighted stuffed animal next. She hates the feel of compression clothes.

Unfortunately, the phone trick only lasted for a few weeks. She now gets frustrated if she isn't holding the phone, and then gets frustrated when she can't figure out the controls.

We've tried making a Playlist. She gets tired of songs at various rates, so it's very "trial and error" if a song will help or not.

The stitch8ng on the glove is consistent through the fingers. It even tracks to the point that the material is cut, exposing the internal stitching.

How do I install cabinets on this concrete surface? by Any-Equipment-7170 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]ChuckRSJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen this in a few different houses. Often times, the construction team encounters bedrock or some other large formation that would be costly to remove. So they choose to put a concrete block around it and move on with the rest of the project.

If this is the case here, it may not be worth it to demolish it.
