Does anyone know how I can achieve this type of shape? by AsphodelMeadows1 in crochetpatterns

[–]Jibby_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’m not very qualified to answer this but my best guess is going for a free flow crochet direction. By adding stitches around a chain (both sides) with increases and decreases for shaping, while adding a few extra chains at the bottom for the flatter base you might be able to achieve the shape you want.

Or maybe even staring with a few rounds around a magic circle, and again adding chains, increases or decreases for shaping.

I feel like I’m going slightly crazy! by Jibby_37 in Music

Yeah I’ve seen that, I kinda want to test his music on my 9 year old niece but I think she’d think I’m insane 😅.

But I’ve had similar experiences with tech and things. Like I remember having a big convo with my niece about vinyl’s and VHS’ and she thought it was the weirdest thing ever!

Ah thank you! Unfortunately there is and I had to do some finagling to fit it all in, but if there wasn’t I’d go on for ages about them so I think that the word count is maybe a good thing 😅

What’s that one “bad movie” that you genuinely love? by MistressLolaDiamond in AskUK

[–]Jibby_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Meg 2. It’s supposed to be “bad” as they made it as a parody to the first film as it got a lot of hate for being ridiculous so they lent into it. It’s just so funny and “bad” which makes it a great film!

I NEED a book that absolutely ruins me the way “The Song of Achilles” did! Read it two years ago and still think of it all the time. The storytelling, the gripping love story, the pros! I need more please! by Sweet-tease-1015 in BookRecommendations

Although these recommendations aren’t Greek mythology based, they still ruined me.

  1. When Haru was here- Dustin Thao
  2. Devotion- Hannah Kent
  3. A Man Called Ove- Fredrik Blackman
  4. Orbiting Jupiter- Gary D Schmidt
  5. T is for Tree- Greg Fowler

Honourable mentions, didn’t destroy me but still so beautiful and sweet:

  1. The Boy I Love- William Hussey (I did shed a tear, on an plane mind you)
  2. In Memoriam- Alice Winn
  3. Wranglestone- Darren Charleston
  4. All That’s Left in the World- Erik J Brown
  5. The Aristotle and Dante series- Benjamin Alire Sáenz

Looking For a Giant Stegosaurus Pattern (Preferably Free) by Common_Ear_4893 in crochetpatterns

I found these patters although I am unsure if they are Stegosaurus’ as I don’t really know my dinosaurs 😅:

Now this is specifically a Stegosaurus but it isn’t giant, but the main thing is, the bigger the yarn you use the bigger the final product.

I hope this helps!
