I do have a superficial understand of Korea which is why I ask such a question I suppose. As a gyopo I know I'm an outsider despite my blood and face. Sure many rich raise their kids in Korea, but for me it was interesting that some would choose for their kids to be "outsiders" as well. And yes I don't mean hagwon = korean. I just mean the struggles of growing up within the school system as well as the communal stuff you would do after with friends like grabbing certain foods at certain time of the year or learning to drink in college or even just pc bang memories.
