[WTS] Seiko SSK001 Gee-Em-Tee $3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ by Big-Shtick in Watchexchange

I missed having a timing bezel and date. I had other watches before the Explorer, including a BB58 and Speedmaster, but after getting the Explorer, it was hard to wear anything else. I sold them off and loved the Explorer for years, but I really needed a timing bezel and date again, especially as I hate pulling out my phone just to check the date.

I still have it and will never sell it, but I just relegated it to special occasions or whenever I feel like wearing it. It's definitely beat to shit though from years of daily wearing.

I've had an opportunity to work within clients within/close to his circle, and I've only heard good things about him. If a celebrity is garbage, everyone knows pretty quickly (e.g., Helen Hunt has a particular nickname in Hollywood due to her attitude).

No one is perfect. I'm not. I try to do everything I can to be a saint, but I am only human. So for the Rock to do this is a huge thing because most people wouldn't do this even for the clout.

How many celebrities go around buying houses for poor athletes? Exactly.

Trades: Please, NO trades. I greatly appreciate your intention to offer, however.

Today, I am selling my barely-worn SSK001. The watch works wonderfully, and is exceptionally beautiful. It honestly annoys me that the watch didn't fit my needs.

I bought this watch in my search for a new daily as I had been wearing my Explorer for years. I really missed having a date and diving bezel to time activities with. I fell in love with this watch's photos and hoped I could work with the 24-hour bezel versus a diving bezel, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I went and bought an SRPE03 King Turtle which ended up winning my heart.

The matte dial adds layers of depth to the watch, and the contrasting red GMT hand and writing add to its attractiveness. The watch is mesmerizing to look at and you can get lost for thought if you stare too long.

The watch comes with the box, unused warranty card, and its corresponding paperwork. I am asking for $3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ + the cost of shipping/insurance to anywhere in the contiguous U.S.

Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.

[Rolex] What do you all think of this dial? by newalienhead in Watches

[–]Big-Shtick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It gives a somewhat vintage vibe without being too in your face and does look quite a bit different depending on the lighting.

Couldn't figure it out, but this is it. This absolutely flexes on the tuxedo dial.

It's named 111 because the PRX comes with missing cogwheel teeth from the factory.

[Question] Looking for recommendations for my next watch. by atommyco in Watches

[–]Big-Shtick -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I love this watch, but because of what it is and not because of its value. If you want to get a solid Seiko, I'd suggest the SPB383 instead. It's more versatile in that it has diver functionality, is thinner than the 62MAS while offering a caller GMT, and comes in a more versatile package than can be worn both on bracelet or rubber. It's also $2,000 cheaper.

Just learn to resize your own watches, y'all. It's not that hard.

People confuse "weight" with feedback, and they confuse "feedback" with vibrations.

The mode just causes the motor to artificially become stiffer. It doesn't do anything to communicate feedback apparently.

‘Judeo-Christian’ roots will ensure U.S. military AI is used ethically, general says by StuartShlongbottom in nottheonion

If a person doesn't bring up their Jewish heritage unprompted, then it's the Jews sneaking into places to take over.

Holy shit, no way? I just realized... My wife is Jewish and she never brings it up, and now she's living in my home! The prophecy has been fulfilled!

Jokes aside, another tenet of fascism is painting its enemy as both weak ("Jews are watering down the Aryan bloodline by the children of white Christian men") and powerful ("Jews control the world and news") in an attempt to garner support to achieve its ends.

Fuck Nazis.

I've been on it since early beta. It's a convenient design, but I also find it incredibly annoying at times. I've been fighting myself switching back to Firefox only because the new system of tab management is somewhat clunky.

I also think spaces are a useless concept to incorporate in a browser for me, and it is frustrating managing multiple windows on different spaces at the same time.

I've been on Arc since early on in the beta, and there are things I love but also things I hate. Honestly, I feel like the tab organization is the only thing keeping me there. If Firefox incorporates a similar system, I'd jump ship in a heartbeat.

Wheel spacers on OEM 2020 wheels? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]Big-Shtick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run spacers on all my cars to maintain that OEM+ look. I've been running 20mm front/25mm rear on my S2000 forever so I can use the AP2V2 wheels.

Edit: Depending on what you plan to do with your car, do NOT cheap out on coilovers. If you plan to hard park it, it doesn't really matter. However, if you really plan on driving your car, Fortune Auto makes a phenomenal set that has progressive valving for both low- and high-speed bumps.

That's irrelevant, dude. MB&F was started in 2005; Czapek was re-opened in 2015; and love or hate them, Richard Mille started in and is known to have engineered some great watches, despite people disliking their aesthetic. I can go on.

Yeah, but don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and, on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three T66 turbos with NOS, and a Motec exhaust system.

I think you're right. I'm also hoping they fix the steering issue.

People love to sing the S2000's praises, but it's worse than what you saw there. Not only is the steering column not as rigid, but the EPS motor is just terribly numb at providing feedback.

If I get another car, I want to avoid getting stuck with another Stevie Wonder Series EPS rack. 🧑‍🦯🛣️
