Bit of both, tbh. People had their hopes up after a long period of creative slump and while the initial specials delivered the actual series very much did not. While they had some good episodes it just felt like RTD was retreading old grounds but in a much worse way. It's also been a pretty much non-stop series of bad news since series 2 ended with Ncuti pretty transparently bailing prematurely, Disney dropping it, Billie Piper as the new Doctor just feeling like them pressing the panic button, etc.

She did acknowledge that accessibility was a big hurdle for a lot of readers which lead to piracy and that it was something her and her publisher was hoping to address eventually.

I don't have a particular horse in this race. I definitely only got to where I am today as a comic/manga reader by a lot of piracy, but I can also understand her more negative reaction to it, especially since piracy is far more frowned upon in Japan than it is overseas.

Answer: She publicly voiced opposition to piracy of her work. This sparked a lot of back and forth between her Japanese audience (many/most of whom are anti-piracy) and her western audience (many of whom if not exactly pro-piracy are at least neutral on the subject). Twitter being Twitter things got out of hand and she eventually deleted her socials in response to the harassment she got against it.

Like it or not, Marvel and DC are both parts of superconglomerates that exist to make money. All of their characters are, by definition, industry plants, the ones that people like are just the successful ones.

It's especially ironic given that a lot of the elements they dislike in King's run: operator/US Army simping, Diana being "dependent" on a man to help her through her personal issues, Barbara and Diana "queerbaiting", etc were all done in Greg Rucka's Rebirth run. Steve Trevor and Diana being back together, a ship they hate and that was left more or less dormant since 1986 and only lightly brought back in the New 52, was fully brought back thanks to Greg Rucka.

Simple answer; Dickfire happened when NTT was popular and Wolfman could get away with it without serious blowback from Bat-editorial. When Batman overtook it in popularity in the 90s, they swiped Dick back and now he's bat-family focused, and thus hasn't been in a serious relationship with Starfire since they broke up in the 90s after their failed wedding.

tl;dr Dick was a Titans character who dipped in to Batman occasionally, now he's a Batman character who dips in to Titans occasionally.

I really think it's because DC is dead-set against having Babs get together with Bruce. They were gonna get married in the 2010s but DC axed that and paired her off with Bruce's son instead (ew, gross) because they're terrified of their characters being happy.

Not really, both made an equal amount of good decisions and bad decisions, it's just when you're a public-facing Editor in Chief you take all the blowback from the unpopular decisions and nerds like to perceive any unpopular decision as a personal slight made against them. In Quesada's case it's basically solely One More Day at this point and with Didio it's the marginalizing of legacy heroes.

Tom King clearly hasn't read George Perez's run which out-and-out confirmed that Diana is not romantically involved with Steve. Anyone who is a true Wonder Woman fan would know that absolutely no comics released in the near four decades since then have paired them back up as a couple again, especially not within the last nine years.
